Riot should implement a Dodge Vote System ~~

Everyone has had those teams where you got one person that is Mid or Feed and you go mid and so does he. Well when nobody on your team wants to dodge this solves the problem. Its treated like /ff. in the champ select you type /dg in the chat bot and it pulls up a box saying "Name" Has started a dodge vote. Would you like to Dodge? Yes/No. The people who say yes will not lose LP or have a time limit their first time. More so after the first two in a day they start losing the standard amount. > 3 lp and 6 mins. Dodging the old fashion way would still be something for people who get denied the dodge vote. The punishments will still apply for this. Im honestly tired of dodging sometimes when i get a troll and losing 6 mins of my play time that i could be playing a game with. So riot please take a look at this and give your thoughts. I honestly think it will be a good addition to the Community

but it actually gives a suggestion unlike the other threads. Other threads will complain about troll in champ select but won't give a suggestion on how to fix it.

My main champion is Bard my secondary champions are Zyra mid, Heimerdinger mid/top, and Trundle support In the past, I have spammed the shit out of toplane with Amumu Zilean Soraka Alistar In ranked, because I had found a way in which they could succeed.

None of these things are things you necessarily want a stranger locking in during your promos, but they are what I know, so why should I get kicked out of lobbies for an hour every time I want to play solo queue?

What about the Urgot mains? What about Singed players? Shaco ? Teemo ? Aatrox ?Lane Nunu ? Twitch ?

Those champ select asshats are definitely an annoyance, and there needs to be a way to deal with it, but I don't want to have to be unable to play champions that are considered "Troll picks" by the general playerbase.

The difference is that Dota 2 has had it from the start. They never lost anything. I would lose the ability to play my entire cast of champions in ranked. I would lose everything.

this really only needs to apply to ranked queues because of the LP loss. I can live with waiting 6 minutes after dodging a normal queue but i really dont want to have to lose LP without even playing.

The same argument applies though. Theres no way to stop abuse of it. Do we have some weird off meta picks? Lets dodge. Does the enemy have a better team? Time to dodge. Do I just feel like we're going to lose? Then dodge for free!

If the dodge doesn't get enough votes you can't dodge, that will most probably be 4 or 3. Frankly. Off meta picks are only frowned upon by max 2 players in a team, I one did Tris top and nobody gave a single flying fuck. Do I feel like I gonna lose? Only you in ur team do, no one else does, you can't dodge. Enemy has better team? Most people won't know which team is better at low ELO and it largely depends in skill level and counter pick isn't a thing. as for high ELO most have a nice skill lvl and they would counterpick nicely and "enemy having a "better" team" wouldn't be a case

Edit: Are you South Asian or of South Asian ansectary by any chance?

Generalizing that in any given team only two people will care about an off meta pick is, well, way too general. I've been flamed at by 4 people before for an off meta pick (mundo right after his E buffs). Sometimes you just get unlucky. Also I think you're overestimating high elo players. I see streamers all the time say "holy shit their team comp is 10x better than ours." Why? Because people play what they want to at any elo. You're probably underestimating low elo players as well. Or at least their impressions. Example:

"Idiot didn't ban yi, we gotta dodge" "yeah man wtf y u no ban yi"

All in all I agree with the op, that's a really abusable system at first glance.

Well, one solution could be that you can't dodge two games in a row. Your teammates still can (that is if they didn't dodge earlier) but you can't vote yes for dodge. Also, Mundo as in Mundo Support or Adc ? xD that's gonna get you flame garunteed, also, they might be premade, on that note, dodge will be disabled for 3 man and 4 man team

it would take forever to ever get in a match (Considering the new update changes that will hit live)

-its a some seconds for the players to choose they champions they wanna play and maybe come up with a strategy/composition -then the ban phase -the actual pick phase -and the last changes

I dont remember how much time its all of this steps together, but if they implement the dodge system, it can lead some players to go through all theses steps a thousand times because the team choose to dodge, by the time they finally enter a match they could be already tilted and lead to some bad experiences (I know i would)

You can't do that because you then punish people who main teemo and other off meta picks. With the new champion select people will always have one of their two best roles in theory. So there will be no real reason for the dodge.

Oh please, that queue can be abused easily. Imagine I chose jungle or fill and get assigned support I could simply say jungle or feed.

Then you get banned/suspended. Same way you would if you chose jungle and mid, then declared "Top or feed". You select your roles, and get punished if you can't fill both and either of them. Now 'fill' is an official role, if you cant do it, dont select it.

Last pick, "I can't play support." So then somebody is nice and lets them play something else, and they go 1/10 in lane before 20.. Woulda done less damage on a NON-carry role.

except this season there is no I can't play support because everyone queues up for one of two roles. So it would be their fault for checking the support box.

This should only apply to ranked queues, because a group of 3 friends could queue up in a normal and if one of them didn't get the role they wanted they could all do "Welp time to dodge :^)" and it would be very frustrating, but it could filter out trolls in ranked which would be nice for everyone.

Riot already has came up with a solution. There is a new champ select, it give you one of the two role that you Queue for automatically. For example, I would mark support as primary and mid as my secondary (there is also a "Fill" option for those that are confident with themselves), then the system would literally tell everybody where they need to go. Therefore, I don't think there would be much of a troll "I only play ___" in champ select anymore, the whole idea that you describe would actually be the new way to troll if it was implemented, since you can now have a 3/4 man solo queue, they already made up over 50% of the vote for dodge just because that one guy tell his friends to.[zombie-brand-clap]

This is exactly what I need for those incredibly toxic players that demand a lane they didn't call first and then auto lock for it anyway. At that point a dodge is not even looked down upon because nobody wants a whiny kid on their team.

What would happen if everyone dodged, however when you find another team you get the same exact players? If this were to be implemented it should make it so that you don't get the same players on your team

I just don't know why Riot still doesn't have this kind of thing, people have been complaining about this for years already. Most times dodgers are victims, and they end up being punished, while the troll get away. I'm upvoting this, hope this one won't be in vain

It would be a great implement that couldn't be abused.... if Riot wasn't going to change the ranked queue so whole parties of 5 can play ranked together. And with 5 people on your team you could always dodge whenever the enemy team bans or picks something you don't want. I hate this whole party thing so much...
