I played my placement matched, won 7 and lost 3. I've been doing really well in the jng. After my final match, I got placed in bronze 3... How does this happen? I have friends that win 3 and get into silver.

According to lolking I lost 300 mmr from dec to jan which took me from sliver 3 to bronze 2.. I been playing this game for 1 year and started in sliver 5, through the whole year I went from 5 to 4 back to 5 back to 4 then ended on 3. Now I'm in bronze 2 after the reset. I'm not happy about it but I mean I'm just playing for fun with friends.

It's dependent on your MMR from Season 4. You were probably Bronze 2 or 3 last season, no?

And if they were fresh 30's, you start with low Silver MMR and sometimes it'll give people a freebie and put them in Silver(this is why Silver 5 is the absolute worst representation of skill level in the entire system). If they were Bronze 1 and got put into Silver, they had Silver MMR already they just couldn't win their placements.
