Why dont other games have the same problems with ranked? I feel like every other game I have ever played that has a ranked playlist doesn't suffer from the same toxic community that plagues League. What can we do as a community to fix it?

Yboat3 votesEvery random team game, has issues with ranked. Some of it is the way they calculate mmr off just w/l. Others is them not wanting to put the time into creating a new system.
Remember elo was designed for chess, and it works great for 1 person or fixed teams
oCataclizmic1 votesI play a lot of FPS games and I just don't feel like the environment is the same in those matchmade ranked games games, is it because of voice chat? Or just because you get unlucky in one or two fights in those games your opponent doesn't spiral out of control lol Or is the "1v1" of laning phase so tilting to some people when they lose?
haaaaaaalp1 votesWhat do you mean? Every moba has the exact same problems with ranked. Dota has pretty similar problems as well as more issues with scripting and hots could never get a decent ranked before blizzard decided to stop investing in it.

ZephyrDrake1 votesI think you need to tell us what other games you have played. Since for instance hearthstone isn't going to be a good comparison to league. Same with a bunch of other 1v1 player games. The more reliant you are on your teammates doing well the more frustrating it will be when you lose.
oCataclizmic1 votesI mostly play FPS games and I guess how I can see the carry potential is greater in those types of games. I enjoy league (not very good at it xD) but man is those in game chats crazy. Maybe people would chill out and work together better with voice chat in solo Q? But then would that take away from "solo" Q? Just interested in what makes games like this different
