{IVERN in ARAM} Useless passive?

Jordysch··4 votes·8,011 views

Hi Rito !

since ivern's passive only is usefull on maps with neutral monsters, how do u plan to " balance" him out a bit for aram where his passive lacks any use. there is no interaction on the howling abyss for him, which means he is " loosing" one ability on the murder bridge.

what are you plans to balance this out. since thresh/bard has increased passives on the ARAM map.

would love to see your vision about it

"Ivern can make friends with the poros and set them free" but very good point, maybe he can double brush or something.

Poro interaction would be AWESOME!

Ivern can click on a Poro (only while out of combat, to prevent massive misclicks in fights), Ivern loses 10% health and mana, but the Poro.... becomes a Maokai type trap?

Not sure what he could do with the Poros precisely, while staying in Lore. Making them attack enemies is far outside his lore, but the only thing worth losing some mana/health for.

Maybe while out of combat he can liberate poros for a small health and mana restore instead? The bigger the Poro is when liberated, the more he gains?

Watch, they're going to give him a new passive just for aram... Treat him just like an item.

Don't a lot of champs lack strength in ARAM? O,o

yeah, but thats usually because they dont get enough farm or are skirmishers being forced to teamfight. There aren't any champions who are weaker because they cant use part of their kit. Skarner would be one of those weak champs in ARAM if he didnt have his passive totem things.

well lee sin can't ward jump, which is a huge part of his kit and what he's balanced around

sure there are champions who do lose potential like the ward hoppers Katarina LeeSin Jax or Nunu who gets bonus effects from eating different monsters, and last but not least Evelynn who is visible 90% of the time in ARAM, but that doesnt mean they completely lose that ability. Jax, Kat, and Lee sin can still use the jumping ability on a different target, Nunu can still eat the minions for health, and a skilled Evelynn can find a way to do something during that 10% of the game where she is invisible. The real question is how will Ivern be compensated for the lack of a passive? will he be able to use his passive on minions since there are no jg camps or will they add camps just like they added Skarner's pillars?

In Summoner's Rift. Counterpoint is that his ability is still useable, it's just limited (like several other champions) in application.

The only thing he loses due to the lack of jungle that other champions do not is the ability to share his buffs. Depending on how much of his power budget that consumes (very little, as far as I can see), he may be due some compensation for the Howling Abyss.

I'm pretty sure they find smth out for this as solution. The Lee ward jump and other examples like that one are not valid since Lee for example can still slide on minions or allies with his w, or just use it as a little shield. This makes it still usefull for him, but Ivern Lose on his passive everything. GP has automatic silver generation, like with gold for the cannon upgrades, considering this, i hope they figure something out for him as well.

You may say that Ivern loses nothing but his ability to share buffs like red or blue because his passive only cleares jungle camps what other champions do as well. But this is not true since the result will be a champion with 4 abilities, without any kind of passive attribute. xD Which is TOTALLY not fair.

Make his passive take like 1/10 of turrents health or something

For aram only
