Anivia's Q Became Unreliable with Quickcast After Last Patch (4.18)

Fellow Summoners,

Having mained Anivia ever since I started playing League of Legends 3 years ago, I know her mechanics in and out. After witnessing the latest patch to her Q that gave her spell more visibility, I was initially ambivalent as it didn't not change much.

However, once I tried smart casting my Q, I found out that I could not do it half the time. The reason for this turned out to be the inability to use Anivia's Q without the cursor being within the casting range, thus making every Q I initiate not go through sometimes.

This has negatively affected my ability to play the champ and since I main Anivia, any large change like this is quite detrimental.

If this could be changed back to the old way of firing a Q off in the direction of the cursor, regardless of the position of the cursor, I would be extremely happy. I wonder if anyone else thinks the same.
