Am I missing Something that's required to get into the PBE?

I started playing League of Legends about 2 years ago and about 2 weeks in, I started watching YouTube and was hearing about the PBE and how cool it is. I decided that I would try it out. I read all about the PBE and thought it would be fun. I sent an application and have been waiting ever sense. I have been waiting to get on the PBE for two years and it took my friends 3 days. Am I missing something? I feel like they thought about letting me join but forgot about it and they have thrown me away and forgot about me. I wanna play on the PBE!!! Help please!!

Higher the elo the easier it is to get in. They want people who can help improve them game, not just play with new champs

I dunno what it takes to get into PBE. I've been in the application process for about as long as you, I think. (I was also on the PBE before they changed it to applications....)

I've been in Gold-Platinum the entire time, and have 4000+ games played. I don't think skill level or anything matters like the other guy said... it's just kind of random.

I have read that they tend to accept people when they are testing a particular thing - let's say Karma changes. They would pull applications from Karma players. They also pull people from all skill ranges because they need to make changes suitable for all players.
