I'm not sure why this even happened and / or continues to happen.

So, I find myself being demoted, which is fine. I know, I know. I could have done better, I was the one who had 0 LP. Of course that's true, I get that and that's not what this is about. I'm just confused as to why, when one player claims he needs to 'fix' his internet and dc's at five minutes, never to return and my top laner, after saying 'I give up' and also disconnects, I'm held accountable for that. Sure, this is an isolated issue and I'm sure it doesn't happen often, but that's absurd, Riot. I lose LP for a game that's literally, in this case, made unwinnable by two people who happened to be on my team? The other three players are penalized for a situation that's nearly impossible, if not entirely impossible, to reverse. That just doesn't make any sense.

I'm not trying to whine, I'll climb back up, whatever. I'm just curious as to why there's no fix for this issue, if there is even a possible fix or if this happens to anyone else because it's absolute bullshit, it really is. For a game this advanced, I fail to believe that there's no way to make some sort of a work around system when almost half your team decides to lose the game, be in intentional or not. This is a team game, it can't be played without two players. Riot spends so much time trying to emphasize the team aspect and wonders why people don't buy into it. I find it hard to consider myself one of those that does buy in after that. Team game? Sure. More like a loose collection of people who often don't understand what a team even is. There has to be some way to prevent LP loss when something like this happens. Thoughts?
