Jax vs Nasus

Hey all, new to the league forums (very first post) and I'm coming to you because I need a bit of help. I'm by no means and excellent player and definitely have a lot to learn but I feel I have a basic grasp of how to fight Nasus as Jax. Or so I think until I get into lane. I don't push him into tower for free farm, I zone aggressively even at 1 making sure to only last hit my minions, punish whenever he goes for cs by making him choose between damaging me or grabbing minions, save Q as an escape rather than an initiator, start cloth as an early build into item rather than a disposable blade, and to counter strike whenever he Q's.

Eventually however, he gets minions and starts gaining stacks and no matter how well I feel I've done or however much of a cs lead I have, because of his lifesteal I can't seem to bully him out of the lane and my advantage slowly trickles away and I end up losing the lane. I don't want to roam and simply let him get free stacks, but staying in a dying lane doesn't seem like it'll work out either.

I know the one thing I haven't really attempted is pushing the jg for ganks. I don't feel I'm skilled enough for ranked at this point so I'm usually just playing normals so having a jg that has that sort of map awareness or even that kind of agreeability isn't always guaranteed. I'm just at a loss at this point. I feel confident against most champs as jax, but a good Nasus is one that leaves me feeling completely drained(lol?) and frustrated at the end of a match. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dont ever try to 1v1 Nasus.

You know that he will just sustain up. If you arent strong enough to completly zone him out of Lane just dont try it.

Shove your Lane under his Turrets and go murder his Teammember.

You need to force Nasus to assisst his Team or sacrifice them for Stacks.

It's a Win - Win Situation.

First Scenario makes him leave Toplane, losing shitton of Stacks and Time to scale.

Second Scenario he stays Top, maybe gets Turret, maybe even two but you get an Inhib.

Just imagine Nasus to be a Family Dad which Payjob is to execute Minions. Meanwhile his Family ( wife Midlane, weird Brother he needs to feed aswell as Jungler, and his 2 whiny child - kids as botlane while ADC is the 8yo whiny brother and Support the 16yo annoyed af big Sister, who helps her Brother out because, even if he is annoying, she still loves him cause he is still her brother. )

So while Nasus is off to work, you focus into murder his whole Family. Over and over again. So Nasus can just stay Top to stack some Gold and Power to pay all those Medicine for his Family ( since you all murdered him they are pretty injured ) and try to carry or he leaves his Lane and helps to protect his Family while being much weaker and having less Gold.

Jax is probably not the best zone laner vs Nasus. A Smart Nasus will let you push at the cost of some CS to ensure he can safely stack near his turret. Jax has no innate sustain or ranges harass so fighting him under turret will net you nothing except your own death.

However if you get a first blood on him with jungle help or if he misplays and fights past his minions, you can freeze and essentially kill him at your leisure before he has defenses as Jax can snowball pretty hard off a single kill. You can also make uses of BotRK and Ignite. These really hurt Nasus's sustain potential.

As your MMR goes up though you will face better caliber Nasus players and they won't make these mistakes often or if ever and they will not farm top all game. I farm for about 10-15 minutes depending on my lane and after I kill you I take your tower. Then rotate mid and take another and if I have time before you push to my tower, I help secure dragon and TP top to stop you.

Remember this season more than any objectives are how games are won, not kills.

dont push early on, don't harass nasus, it will be useless. freeze at your tower and wait till level 6. when you hit 6/7, go back, buy a sheen and then start poking him. empowered w with sheen proc and ult proc will deal 1/3 of his health every time he comes close to a minion. so most importantly - don't push and freeze the lane at your tower. if you don't you're done for good

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like the general consensus is roaming for objectives is better than only trying to hold lane. It's a little difficult to swallow because I like to be dominant in lane. But it is what is is! [zombie-brand-clap] Thanks again.
