Walk-To spell casting needs to be an opt-in game option.

Walk-to is a terrible way of casting spells that target the ground. Some people may like it. Fine. Make it an option that you can turn on or off.

Exemplified by this is Anivia's recent change to Q that made it walk-to. It's bloody awful. But some people might like it. Fine. Make it a game option then!

I know that the anivia Q change was unintentional and will be fixed in a future patch.

That being said, I'd love to have "walk-to" casting be an option for all spells. For example, I imagine most people would like a spell such as Vel'Koz's E to be walk-to, but there are some people like myself who would prefer it to be "in-place."

Hey look, another Anivia Q thread because nobody has learned to use the search feature to see that it's a bug.

Fine, you complain about my choice of example? Karthus Q would be infinitely better if it was cast-in-place and not walk-to. There, not an Anivia Q example. There are lots more that would be better as cast-in-place.

Well I think for at least anivia, if you just move your mouse closer to her and aim it in the same direction as usual, since it's a line cast thing, you won't be forced to walk forward. I understand that can take some getting used to, but it's just a way around the bug until they fix it. This only works for anivia...? Or line cast sort of things.

it totally depends on the ability.
