Ranked game play (relying upon others)

I know everyone gets angry during a game when you have someone disconnect and cant log back in. At this point you have pretty much lost the game in most cases. This happens a lot seems like every few games. I would like to discuss things to be done about this. It just seems like that is a very unfair game play event.

I have a few ideas to start. I would like to hear more ideas of if this is a point of discussion anyone has brought up before.

1. the game could be null at this point and start over with a fresh team. I know this would take longer but at least it would be a fair advantage
2. game continues and if the low team loses they lose none or half the points also the wining team only gains half credit. since it usually is a easy win.
