For those who like playing Fizz and hate the 8.14 on hit W

The Marking for Fizz's w was very satisfying before the the 8.14 update*[sg-jinx]* . It allowed Fizz to Q in, auto, E, and then use the empowered w to do great dmg and dip out. A fast way to max your damage and get out. This is crucial to the play style of Fizz , an assassin. "Get in, do damage, get out". But now, with this 8.14 update,Fizz is forced to sit there and auto to do any damage with his w*[zombie-brand-facepalm]* . This is quite awful because it makes Fizz extremely vulnerable. If Fizz plays against Ad champs, Fizz is outclassed.Fizz cannot output more damage with his W autos against an ad champ such as Khazix ,Jayce ,Jax Zed Yasuo Renekton and makes it easier for mages to cast thier abilities because mages know that the Fizz has to continually auto to damage thus makingFizz an open target*[cass-cry]* . . . . . . . I do not understand why the 8.14 says that they did this update because before the W "it forced Fizz to hold his w" yet now to output the same damage as the before 8.14 Fizz needs to auto 3 times to match the old W dmg*[slayer-jinx-unamused]* . Since it takes the same (if not more) seconds to output the old damage, how is this new update better? It takes the same amount of time to do the same amount of damage on Fizz 's w yet with this update,Fizz is extremely vulnerable. And in late game it becomes extremely useless. How isFizz going to output the same damage in the late game with his "new" w over the "old" w if everyone could just one shot him? Fizz cannot auto more than twice without going from 100 to 0*[zombie-brand-mindblown]* . Before,Fizz can ult a group fight, get someone or a few marked and come in do damage and dip out repeat. If riot was honest, they would just simply call this, A Fizz NERF. because that is what it is. Even long time streamers, such as VoyBoy, dislike this update on Fizz [darius-angry] . . . . . . . . I thought the point on making Fizz's w the way it was was to avoid "Bruiser Fizz 's". Remember that?[sg-janna] where Riot Nerfed Fizz left and right to stop people from abusing the w as a bruiser and then jst rework the w kit to fit into an assassin nimble fighter? Did riot forget all of this? i mean is there a huge community talking about how the 8.14 was a needed update towardsFizz .? I do not think so. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please ChangeFizz back into the decent champ that he was.[sg-shisa] If not, then Riot, please be honest on what you did to Fizz , and that's making Fizz into a useless garbage. It's a nerf, Simple as that*[sg-poppy]* .

There might be those that say "F**** Fizz" and i agree yet 1 FIzz has his weaknesses like everyone else, he is not stupid op (like howBlitzcrank can power fist Fizz out of his e and make it useless ) 2 He makes up the community of the League, jst like Teemo or Lux . 3 He is fun to play :D

Also, for those that hate Fizz, I understand. If we could revert him back for a damage nerf somewhere in his kit, or nerf the hit box on r, what ever it might be, I'm down. . . Extra Material:[It's jst, to me, that the play style of the old fizz was to controversial because the on hit was either too strong or too weak. Too strong because it caused bruiser Fizz's to come out (which low elo players hated, and they hold the majority which caused Fizz's ad scaling to go down as a nerf to prevent it) and if the damage was too buffed the Fizz would be annoying to peel off with the constant/burst damage. Yet, if the damage was too weak, Fizz has to stand there and auto a few more times to get the kill. This makes him vulnerable for open punishing attacks as a melee.(which is happening right now). The old w worked because it worked with the old rune system. Fizz was able to have early Defense runes which allowed him to auto more. Unfortunately, that meta is gone. Fizz is punished harder for going in for an attack. Also, the Mark w was a balance so that Fizz has to Mark to do harmful dmg(not proc'ing the w would not stop you from doing decent damage) as part of the Assassin patch. Again, The Assassin patch made Fizz less into a bruiser and more into an assassin. With that he was a Nimble Assassin. Not a Melee Bruiser. But if this is what the community wants]

i think it should stay the same but buff him or rework him bcuz i know its hard for riot to balance champs due to their kit. but making him sit in the mix trying keep dmg is a lil dumb bcuz his whole kit is to get him in the fight and doesn't really have a way out! he wud have to get ahead to get the items for cdr and zhonyas just to b able to get out but nerfing an assassins dmg makes them useless since they have to get ahead to be relevant. bring back the dmg cuz i see that fizz players seem to lose more often than before.

Before 8.14 I got to master 100lp with Fizz. He allowed me to rank with Caps (I Iet him mid and picked Yasuo top tho) and several 1000lp challengers and gave me a experience that I was literally a pro player that lots of players dream of.

I now hardstuck on d2, and thinking if that’s my own problem or Fizz is just weaker than before, so I did a math.

With old W, as DrDidit said, we Q in, auto and E+W. In total it’s 0.55+0.75+1.2=2.5ap regardless of bleeding and now it’s 0.55+0.5+0.35*2+0.75=2.5ap again. Seems not changed right? However, with the old W, we could activate TWICE lich bane (first with Q and second with empowered W), while we only activate once now. So we literally lose 50-350 damage depending on game length.

The greatest nerf here is that Fizz would NOT need to tank any damage while waiting for the mark. DrDidit has mentioned this in detail I’m not complaining more this here.

To sum up, new W literally gives LESS damage than before and makes Fizz very vulnerable. I also think there was a very positive and interesting relation between old Fizz’s spells: Q and R were able to mark multiple targets, E allowed us to wait for the mark safely and W gave us a feel of harvest (fishing) after our skilled preparation. So please get the old W back.

Excessive emoji / icon spam is violation of the Boards Universal Rules under "Spamming & Trolling" and, frankly, it makes it very hard to read the post.

You didn't need to replace every "Fizz" with his icon.

The change was done because Fizz players who played Fizz before he was given the mark didn't like the mark, because it was balanced in a way that made the highest damage combo being to ult from really far away and engage using Q and E as the mark was priming. It was a pattern they didn't like, so Riot listened to the Fizz players who have been playing him for a very long time and partially reverted his W to what it was before the mark. (I say partially because the bleed used to have %missing HP damage on it).

I do welcome the change personally, since it will ultimately lead to more options for builds and it brings back a feeling of nostalgia. (It also feels better for jungle Fizz imo). It just could have been executed better for Fizz players who did like the W mark.

i mean, dont you want the chance to smack that w right after a dash for sudden impact bonus then to use the e to finish of the chase? werent you tired of the same combo over and over? i know i was, and i love this new w on fizz.. you just dont know how to use it and expect it to do the same thing it used to

Ummm...hit W BEFORE you Q in? Kinda like a Yi should use his E BEFORE he Q's in? It's your NEXT AA(s), so W, Q in, AA, W out or splash. Not sure but his Q might even apply his W poison...don't play Fizz outside of ARAM so...
