Argument with Friend over Master Yi

So I have a friend who thinks rushing berserker greaves and Bloodthirster after getting red smite is a good idea. I think it is a bad idea because it does not give gold efficient stats. When you go berserker greaves second item it costs way too much for the stats it gives and bloodthirster is simply useless at the early stages of the game.

Can someone tell me who is right and who is wrong. We need to settle this argument.

The only correct answer is to this debate is for yi to build dfg, lichbane, and rabadon's.

Why Rabadons? I get the AP is great for Yi's W, but really I don't feel like he needs something like Rabadons. Hextech Gunblade would work better, as it gives Yi some bonus life steal and AD as well.

I mean that starting build isn't terrible. But I can't help but thinking that its more of an ADC Marksmen starting build. On Yi I prefer Berserkers, then infinity edge, but thats just me.
