Kindred would be good if... and mad at the game generally!

I tried Kindred in the practice tool and enjoyed it, so after watching YouTube videos I decided try it in a bot game to see what it is like. The first few were pretty good but later on I ran into several people who did not understand what marks are or why I needed them. To the point where a Riven on my team intentionally took them all knowing I needed them because I explained. I could not get the easy marks, so then he continued on to tell me how much I sucked... Through out that game and a few others people took the marks or did not want to help me get them, so I could be stronger for the team. I think if I go into a normal game with this champion it would be the same. I was so frustrated playing that champion that while I like it, it seems like a big pain due to folks not understanding the point of the marks. Wouldn't it be better if Kindred could get the marks if any member of their team got them or if they could pick a partner. It would make playing this champion a lot less tedious and annoying to explain to a team why marks. Also, when you explain it to the team there is always the troll Riven or other that intentionally takes every mark... This one waited until I almost arrived then stole it so I would loose time and experience... Then proceeded to tell me I sucked and the truth of the matter was the Riven sucked because she was not a team player... I am again frustrated with the game and still can't find a champion that I like because of the lack of community in LoL, the teddy bear bots in Aram and toxic players. It feels as though there is no where to go to enjoy the game. I would happily play normal games but I have not found a champion I can enjoy and I find toxicity and the trolls tedious and annoying. I do not like being around ignorant stupid people because I am way above that mindset intellectually. It is both boring and pointless to associate with these types... I actually did enjoy Kindred until the marks apparently are totally impossible to get if my own team ignored that I need them and takes them in order to troll me... So I will move on from Kindred even though aside from the misunderstandings I did think it was a good champion and I had fun when the teams were good and understood what Kindred needed to be the best for the team. I do not know if someone like me will find a place in LoL due to the mindset and lack of intellectual approach to the game from the majority of random players I meet. I prefer an intellectual strategy to things and do not like to be overly aggressive without a reason. Even in the bot games I like to meet the objectives but most don't get that and want to get the kills and rush through to the end and that seems pointless to me. I imagine getting kills gives them points but the whole team then does not earn any because that one guy ran through and killed everything. The last two games I played were like that. Not even a dragon...

I wish that the objectives would need to be met in order to end the game or something like that ensuring that everyone gets points not just that one guy that has no reason to be in the bot games since they have so much experience in normals.

Welcome to league of legends, home to good people (sarcasm). I'm sorry to hear about your experience. But when it comes to marks, you are better off just getting them on your own most of the time.

Now the deal with Kindred's marks is... she doesn't really need them past 4. Because frankly, you'll be heavily relying on Auto attacks and Mounting dread more than your other abilities in combat.

This is due to Riot's weird and shitty rework of this champion. Arguably, she is balanced because of statistics. But it just all around feels horrible compared to what she used to be. She used to be much better, a little feast and famine. But her early game was strong enough where you could actually do something to get rolling. And you could easily catch up if you fell behind.

Now... Kindred has been normalized into an ADC forced into the jungle. She requires some expensive items for power spikes on the second lowest income in the game. If you aren't killing champions, you're going to be sitting around twiddling your thumbs for a while. And hope to GOD your team doesn't feed.

One benefit that she currently has over some other ADCs is she has a really dangerous skill rotation. But it's quickly dwarfed when you remember that you don't become a threat till you rush Infinity Edge and Statik Shiv. And even then your damage output becomes horribly inconsistent due to a reliance on RNG for a champion who was DESIGNED to choose her own targets and be able to fight without needing a proper support. Thanks Riot.

And Wolf's Frenzy where the On-hit current healths shred went to... is basically the super nerfed version of Kindred's Old Passive.... and the health shred is magic damage... so if you built armor penetration you don't get that benefit.

So... long story short. It's not that the players know that Kindred needs those marks. They are aware she can do well without them... because they are no longer as powerful. It's just... what makes her a better option than other ADCs now? And it makes me sad to say this as a Kindred player.
