Why have provisionals???
Why are there such thing as provisionals when u get placed after the first game and lose/win lp? why not just get ranked after first game instead of going thru bs??

I felt the urge to find arguments against this...but you're kinda right. The new system somehow destroys the purpose of provisionals...
You don't lose LP for provisional matches, that was made very clear. You only gain LP and rank.
So you'd rather go back to the old system of playing all your matches without know what rank you will be?
This gives you a chance to see what rank you are given by the system, and it makes you want to do better to either get above your previous rank...or just do better in general
