Ranked pre-season placement matches

Does doing the ranked pre-season placement matches carry over to next season? or will i have to do another 10 games at the start of the official ranked season as well?

??? its preseason.... there are no placements

I believe it only affects your MMR, which will impact your actual placements when s7 starts (i THINK, I'm not a 100% sure I came on the boards to ask the same thing tbh)
