Ah so you wish to climb out of bronze, silver, or even gold? Well, let me enlighten you on several tips that I've seen be helpful in getting me out of silver and gold and instead up to platinum and higher! Follow these simple guidelines, and not only will you grow through the ladders, but also as a player!

  1. Pick two primary roles, then master 1-2 champions in each of those roles. For me, I enjoy playing underrated champs simply because they are fun to play. I main Skarner /Kindred jungle, and after that Jhin ADC. It is important, in my eyes, that you learn to not only enjoy playing that specific role, but also to play a primary champion dedicated to that role. I LOVE Skarner , and because he's a underrated champion people are less likely to ban him/pick him compared to other champs such as Zed or Lucian , so theres a plus for me! Learn your champs ins and outs, practice them over and over, and just have fun with them!

  2. Maintain a positive attitude. I have friends who wish to climb out of bronze, silver, and gold but have issues in raging at their teammates or getting mad easily. Whatever happens, no matter what, DO NOT RAGE AT YOUR TEAMMATES. This will only piss them off, and especially in either bronze or plat they will just yell at you or even rage. Most of the time, I just stay quiet and keep playing. Hell, as a jungler main I sometimes have to succumb to what I call "Jungler's Fault Syndrome" in which one or multiple teammates blame the jungler for losing the game. In times like these, I use the life saving 'Mute' button to ignore my raging teammates so I can focus 100% into the game without getting salty or mad. I've won a couple games from doing this, and it will no doubt save you in your own games.

  3. Never give up. This tip, in my eyes, is the most important one. I currently have a friend who plays in plats and will destroy anyone top lane as Olaf, however the most annoying thing about him is that whenever the enemy is slightly ahead or gets first blood, he straight up says "Thats game, we lose". My god its so annoying to hear that, and I'm not the only one who thinks that. I, on the other hand, encourage to keep playing! Do not let your friends' emotions or salt get to your better judgement, press on and try your best! Most people, including several of my friends, will never climb out of gold if they keep this mentally of giving up. Through my own personal experience, I have learned its best to stay positive and keep playing! Don't press that surrender button unless you know 100% that you lost the game. If you aren't certain, keep playing! It provides a great learning experience to see how a game shapes out if you don't surrender; for myself, I've won several games because I didn't surrender.

Thats about as much as I can give for you all. Hopefully, some of you have taken my words into consideration, and if not thats fine. Everyone has their own way of learning, these three tips have just helped myself in particularly.
