Please can Skarner get a little love

I played Skarner tons before the rework, then when he was reworked I played him even more. He is my highest mastery champ. I have 2 skins for him and want to continue him as my main. Despite my love for skarner currently in my opinion he is just a fraction of what he used to be. Ever since the rework he has received nothing but nerfs....JUST NERFS. I would specify but what would be the point if you read the patch history for skarner its literally littered with the word "reduced". With the nerfing of Gauntlet and the price increase for Cinderhaulk he needs it more then ever. All im saying is if VAYNE can get a buff my boy Skar can get a lil mini buff PLEASE. I WILL DO ANYTHING.

Realistically, Skarner doesn't need a buff, and he shouldn't get one. He's stronger than average, and even manages to make a couple appearances in pro play despite being part of the champion class least suited to pro play. By any measure, he's a good champion.

His problem isn't balance. It's that he's boring as hell because his design is fucked 6 ways to Sunday. Riot has messed with him without actually trying to make him work for years, and he's paying for it. What he needs desperately is a full gameplay update, instead of just the 1 ability reworks Riot has thrown at him over the years. He won't get it, because nobody gives a fuck about Skarner (particularly Riot), but that's what he actually needs instead of just a meaningless buff.

Then again, I guess there's no reason we couldn't buff him. So long as he's not the most OP thing in the game, I don't anyone actually cares what his balance state is. No one is really going to care if a Skarner rolls them so long as they only see Skarner once a year anyway. They might as well just let the 5 of us who play him enjoy an OP champion.

Skarner's problem is that he doesn't have a strategic identity.

You pick Zac for the initiation and knockups

You pick Amumu for the wombo-combos

You pick Lee-Sin for early ganks.

But I just can't think of anything you'd pick Skarner for. He's sort of a jack-of-all trades that does everything very mediocre. All he has is his ult really. He used to be a scrappy and sticky duelist. Everything Skarner can do, there are other champs that does it better than him

Fact of the matter is, Skarner is Riot's most neglected champs. ALL the champs have gotten some of attention, whether it be new skins, Mordekaiser appearing in the Pentakill video, Volibear appearing in Ornn's story, Udyr getting a mini-rework etc. But Skarner, he doesn't exist more or less. The jugg rework ruined him. I think Riot might as well just delete Skarner from the game.

Skarner only needs 1 real change, imo.

Make him AA the target of his ultimate.

There's some other useful stuff that would help (Removing the useless 'charge up' mechanic on his Q, more base defenses for less scaling defense so he's the same late, better in early), but that one change would make Skarner significantly better.

I even posted about his E bug but the board ignored it. Not surprising. No one wants him to be able to appropriately apply a stun [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Skarner needs a pre 6 mobility buff, perhaps give W a burst MS or higher MS at early levels. Trying to gank someone as a skarner pre 6 is like chasing a car with a wheelchair. Even if I do get in range, I deal very little dmg lvls 1-5 on top of that.

I am fine with not doing much dmg early but at least have means to get in range for E would be good. Perhaps give E empowered AA extra range like wukong Q and he is fine.

Skarner always feels OP to be because I see him about once ever 6 months and forget every ability he has.

By his underplayed nature alone, I'd agree he needs 'something' (buff, adjustment, rework etc) to get more people interested in trying him out.

PLS guys don't play skarner this champion is super weak. I have 1,6 milion maestry on him, reached Master tier eune in the jungle and D3 or D4 EUW on toplane, so i think you can trust me. I gave up with this useless champion and i think people who says that he is strong have never reached higher division than platinum, because skarner is really good champion to diamond. But since diamond he has really big problems and i would say he is useless and it's almost impossible to reach master euw on skarner [ except the beggining of the season] Ofc i hope i am wrong and maybe one day a simple guy will reach master on him. He has the most useless passive in the game beause he hardly never fights on the spires, he is slow 335MS and offers super low damage in early game. For example morde is very slow, but offers a good damage. ,Skarner has a super boring Q aka sheen machine, poor ganks [same problem like old warwick], bugged E and i can give you more reasons why u should play this champion in the high elo, but u can just read my previous posts about him.
