I won 8 games and only lost 2. I got placed in Bronze II, League what is this. I am considering quitting the game, my skills are much more than this. I did great on my provisional and only did bad those 2 games. Why do I get to be in Bronze II, have you been there? Do you know how many unskilled players they are and how hard it is to get out due to awful players killing your game? Can I be placed in at least Silver II. Or this something you guys do to tick off players. I'm confused, I tried so hard to get out of a black hole yet your stupid system puts me there.

bceause you probably were bronze last season, or even silver 5. at that rate your automatically going to be placed lower more then likely. it also took in account pre-season ranked im sure but that is worth a bit less. If you deserve higher you'll climb and achieve it don't worry about that

The thing is that it doesn't take in account how well you actually do, it takes it on your seasons? Which is what I did, I did really well and it placed me lower. I have friends that are in platinum and they even said that I would get at least Gold V. They saw me play and they were impressed. Yet, the ranked was like "Screw you, you're going to be in Bronze II, good luck getting out with troll players.

just played a game and lost yet I did exceptional, put has to suffer a lost due to team being bronze league.

The way this game works is you need to be skilled at least 2 divisions above where you are in order to carry your team. Examples:

If you are a Bronze and think you are silver, you need to consistently play as well as a gold player. If you are Silver, you need to play as well as Plat every game to move up. If you are Gold, you need to play as well as Diamond every game to move up.

Yes you can lose because trolls/afks but if you consistently play at the level you believe you are then you will climb in no time...at least get close. If you truly do play at a Gold/Plat level then you will climb to silver easily. Bronze is very easy to carry single handed if you know how to play correctly. The truth is, low elos it's not about team work. It's about crushing your lane early and keeping them down. Consistently pushing you lane forcing the enemy team to have at least 2/3 players defending you at all times (where you can still 1v3). Doing objectives solo is huge: Dragons/Stealing enemy jungle/skuttles for vision/invading enemy jungler and keeping them down/taking turrets for team gold/etc.

It places you based off of you last seasons MMR, how well you did in your games win/lose, and if you lost the first two games or the last 2 games your mmr will tank...there are a few other factors as well. What was your mmr last season?

Bronze, but that was because I didn't play ranked due to the same problem. People don't know how to play and they drag me down. I played a game just now against a fizz and I was Ahri. I main Ahri and I do really well with her, I destroyed Fizz yet my team dragged me down so bad. Feeding and making me go down. The deaths that I have, I rarely exceed 3 deaths caused by my own. The others are due to team fights or lack of peel and/or bad team engagement.

you said you ended bronze lasts eason. More the likely no matter how well you did the highest youd probably place is sivler 5 because you werre bronze (it does depend if you were low bronze mid or high bronze) Also if you lose the first 2 it is the most devastating but the last 2 isnt as hard i don't think. (unsure how each game is weighted) so which game was a lose and which r wins matter. Now what im reading is "I'm doing everything great it is always my team" which isnt how you improve. honestly if you wanna climb just worry about you. If you deserve to climb you will. That is just that simple man.

I won my first 2 games, I lost a game towards the end like my last 2. And basically yes its my team, reasons are is that I do really well that my mid laner leaves because he cant handle it or his jungler fails to gank most of the time which is like 95% of the time. I trying very hard to win, yet my team feeds or they don't know how to peel. So even if I do good, someone on the enemy team gets fed and they challenge me in team fights since I have no peel and they have the items capable of tanking my damage and the constant cc being pressed due to me being the most threatening champ they all go for me and no peel. Or my team engages the wrong person and they destroy my team and I'm left to a 1v4. I mean sure I'm good to be up higher but you have to remember it's ranked and some players do go hard and they can give me a challenge. And of course I wont be doing good every single game, miracles happen and mistakes too. I'm not playing bots, so either way the point is that, "The chances of me getting out are high but me not receiving a good challenge from my lane itself and having my team in the end throw like 70% of my games isn't fun. I want a challenge even in lane and I can only receive that in higher leagues." It's just going to be annoying and I don't like how it doesn't take in account how you did provisionals. Even if someone played for you. As you've all been saying if you deserve to be there you will and if you don't then you won't. That's my problem, I basically went all out on provisionals and it placed me in bronze that ticked me off.

If you deserve to be higher ranked, then you will win games and rank up.

ElysMustache1 votes

The number of games required to do this is rather high, if you have a somewhat low winrate, like say 55%.

Quick question: Is this your second season of playing ranked?

Quick question: Is this your second season of playing ranked?

Ye its his 2nd, he was bronze last season.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

Ah thanks. Not being on my PC is kinda annoying. Don't have access to FEK.

Now to give an answer as to why: Your MMR (which helps determine your Rank to a degree) was cut by an amount. If I was on my PC I would link to a thread from these Boards that talks about how your MMR have gets a soft reset every new season, though it has other good information.

And if he was bronze, it would have been soft reset to a higher MMR.

That is interesting.

Don't feel bad I think I went 9-1 and got Bronze 4 lol

Zach Sandwhich1 votes

lmao I only won 2 of my placements and placed bronze 1

warpenguin5551 votes

it always places you lower, but gives you increased LP gain because your mmr didnt change

Thmcrafter1 votes

I was silver 3 last season and went 7-3 on placements. This season I went 4-6 and got silver 2. Idk how this system works.

Banana Nations1 votes

ive been there its pretty easy to climb out of if u deserve to cause its 4 bad players and you ( the good player according to yourself) against 5 bad players

Intensive Player1 votes

Keep in mind that their pairing system isn't that good. Sometimes my enemy could have Silver II, III, I. It all depends

BloodyTompon1 votes

If they're that bad, it should be easy to carry. There are only four bad on your team and 5 on their team.

kebslol1 votes

You should have made it to silver 2. But you would need to do it on a new account. It's Riot BS and it's unfair, but that's why people start over, to avoid Bronze elo hell.
