Regardless of his state when revive was actually in the game, he'd drop wards during a teamfight, do his thing, die, revive, teleport, do his thing and die again. Outside of that, you'd sometimes see things like Rammus or Hecarim take it since they could so quickly rejoin a fight and were prime users of Homeguards before they were made into a fountain passive.

Sorry if it doesn't make that much sense but I see where you're trying to come from. He would just use his abilities, die, revive, tp, then use his abilities, die (of course doesn't actually die until he y'know) which could either be 1. devastating 2. pathetically useless since that would be 2 extra kills for the enemy team

can abuse it, as it can be a VERY easy re-engage, and the idea of killing someone actually taking them out is something, that should be stuck to, but the timers ARE STUPID sometimes, so many lost games because one person makes a dumb play and you are in a 4v5 for 1 minute, good luck with that when late game EVERY player is needed.
