How do you kill champions with Caitlyn?

I have been using Caitlyn for a while now... I know that I have been using her wrong and I need help. I end up playing against the bots as practice and don't even dare playing against other players. Every time I go against a bot, I end up dying. Or when I am fighting against a enemy, they end up running away and I can't kill them. The only time the enemy champion dies is when there is another champion then I'm support. So is there any tip/tricks to kill enemy champions?

There was some articles/videos that helped but that only helps when I fight in the Intro summoner's rift not the beginner or intermediate.

She's meant to bully lane, have a terrible mid, then crush late with a front line in front of her. Using traps is pretty key.

Not an adc main at all. (Worst role) Learning adc as a role comes before all, and you should serach it up, isnce myself is terrible at everything adc requires.(Positioning, farm Q_Q ) But just with experience. Her trap->net->Q combo is bread and butter to insane damage, learning to pull this off is quite important. Next one might seems obvious, but don't ult close to enemies. Item builds are quite important too,but I am as helpless as you are.

She's a mechanics champion similar to Vayne. Pretty easy to play, hard to master. For her its managing her traps and comboing her abilities correctly as well as knowing when its best to open with ult or when its best to use it as an execute.

Just play Jhin (sp) instead. He does everything Cait does but better.

To begin with, wrong place to put it, should be in General. But, Cait is one of my best adcs and what I can tell you is that you have to learn how to use traps. Most of the times you see Cait's just placing traps randomly in lane, this is not a good use for them because then you don't have any up for when there is a fight. Next, you should utilize your range and get in autos, and passive, whenever you can (don't try to force damage, that's how you take unnecessary damage or die). Also use your q sparingly, you can use it for waveclear and poke, but don't spam it (also remember that it's 1300 units, the same range as a trap headshot, and will deal full damage to those recently trapped). Next is the net, there are combos with net+q and net+trap, but you need to decide if you want to use it aggressively or defensively (I would start out defensively until you feel comfortable with her). Ult is best used from a distance and to secure a kill or help someone get a kill. Along with the build, usually BF, Shiv, IE, RFC, then whatever else you need (i.e. GA, Merc Scim, Maw, etc.). If you want, I can send you a video of good trap placements that I made for a friend.
