Yasuo is dead

So, the last few patches were ANTI - YASUO... I get that. But is it really that important? Yasuo requires skill to be played to his maximum potential. I hate these new patches, and here's why:

  1. The new 10 ban system... Yasuo has been banned almost 50% of the time according to this site (LoLKing): http://www.lolking.net/champions/yasuo#/overview
  2. The Yasuo nerf... (From 10 seconds to 6 seconds)
  3. In normal games everyone picks Yasuo just because they can't pick him in ranked... (So I never get a chance to play him anymore) And when you combine those 3 things, you get an overly nerfed champion... So please riot, think about these changes... PLEASE! Sorry for my bad English, I am Serbian. I hope you can still understand my point... (I am a Yasuo main :D) My advice is to at least buff Yasuo a bit... (Idk, like from 6 to 8 seconds or something...) If he was buffed he would be banned more often

Over the past 2-4 weeks (basically since the 10-ban system came out), I played Yasuo from MR1 to MR7. Balance-wise, I think he's okay, probably needs either some nerfs (or whatever rework thing Riot has planned for him, IDRC), but for now, the Steel Tempest nerf is fine. Yasuo doesn't need to hold onto that Tornado for ten whole seconds, either you use it, or you lose it.

If you want to play Yasuo more often, here's my advice:

  1. When in Champ Select, always ask if one of your teammates could secure Yasuo for you. Oftentimes, they'll try (or do, provided they're first pick), and very rarely have I seen people decline. The ones that do don't own Yasuo, so they can't secure him for you.
  2. I can't stress this one enough: BE PATIENT. For god knows how many reasons, Yasuo is Public Enemy #1. There'll be a ton of matches where you can't play him, and there'll be a fair few matches where you can't play him because someone else is, your team or otherwise. Just as long as you're patient, you'll get to play Yasuo.

Not really. He needs slight quality of life changes. Something where silver/bronze players wont just feed with him but can maintain healthy gameplay, while high elo players like Yassuo or Voyboy wont just dominate with crazy plays.

Gut Yasuo entirely, let hate for him die down, then buff him in a controlled fashion to make him viable without being oppressive.

OR IDK REWORK HIM. Even when he isn't OP numerically, people clearly just hate playing into his kit. It's a kit for a different game altogether.

the best riot can do is that mini rework they are planning, right now he is at a 70% banrate after the rework he will reach a 100% banrate, best chance youll get to play him is in the preseason.

I dont see him being dead. His winrate didnt change at all (it went up a bit 52%). While for example Naut after nerfs went to 44%, Trundle went from 52% to 45%, Graves after MR removal went from 50% to 47%, Gnar is on 47 after nerfs , before he was above 50%, poor Viktor from 53% went to 47%, Gragas also dropped after Dorans rings nerf,

And should we even talk about Ryze or Azir?

no buffs, just a rework

Yeah, the high pick rate in Norm and high ban rate in ranked just means he is strong. Not OP, but strong. If he's buffed, he gets banned even more.

The only way to have people ban him less is by nerf in him, which would make me sad, not because I play Yasuo, but because he isn't OP or anything.

It actually doesn't mean be is strong. It means he is popular. Statistically, Yasuo is pretty weak. He isn't dominating anywhere and in all elos has the worst average kda.

Yasuo feels oppressive and needs some agency added specifically to his lane phase. Aside from that, he needs buffs. Even his one tricks don't do that well with him given their time spent mastering the champ.

Also, if Yasuo was actually strong, you would see him more in the LCS. Guess what? He was only popular in LCS when frozen force was a thing (cuz it was op).

I am looking forward to how Riot handles this

He's the least fun lane opponent you can have. He needs to have his power balance shifted to one side of the balance sheet. He's really well positioned right now.
