Can we all agree that there was absolutely no reason to nerf Anivia?

In the patch notes Riot referred to it as a "minor change" - but by their standards and judging by previous nerfs. It should read "a significant nerf."

She was a very safe pick, she was not overpowered, brought a lot to the table for your team without being completely busted.

She was a fantastic way to deal with champions that are weak against champs with wave clear.

She was one of the few that can efficiently deal with Zed without rushing a Zhonya's/QSS.

She herself had a ton of counter play.

I'm not understanding the reasoning behind it.

I'm not stupid - yes her E combo is incredibly strong. But that is how you play Anivia, that's how you've always played her. Without your combo you're a utility Mage with a wall every 20 seconds and an easy to dodge stun.

You honestly think anyone is going to sit in an ult for 4 seconds? Hell no.

Lowering the cast range on her E? Yes it is a point and click. BUT with the significantly longer range of her stun, and her immobility it wasn't always a done deal that you were going to get a combo off anyway.

Lastly, I'll repeat again the fact that there are ways to deal with her.... If you miss your Q, you're incredibly weak and vaunrable.

Just a champion that was perfectly fine the way she was. I thought she brought some balance against other champions that aren't so balanced. No she isn't nerfed to the point where she's rendered useless, but there's no denying she took a big hit for no reason.

Change for the sake of change, absolutely the worst way to "balance"a game

i been maining anivia since season 1, and i am honestly livid with these changes. At 6 anivia is supposed to be a thread in lane. Now her ult is as big as a teemo mushroom, you have to get awfully close to a champion to do you are R+E combo. i cant believe this
