I cant get ahead. So the last game I played, I'm in my promos mind you, we get someone on our team with a gold border. I'm b5 , so I'm thinking yay easy win. The game starts, everything is going fine, I get ganked bottom lane, a certain person on our team comes and gets a quadra. We tell the person gj. Well a minute or two later the bottom turret drops so I roam to ward the map because people are now roaming. This person gets mad at me for roaming and afks pretty much the rest of the game in the jungle. She moves just enough to avoid the leaverbuster all while telling me I should have stayed bottom so shes afking. This person was GOLD last season. Turned what should have been an easy win into a loss.

That's not what this post is about though. This post is about the fact that this person is tanking their elo on purpose. Making people lose games in bronze that they are more than capable of carrying to victory. It shows clearly in their history. I wish I could put this persons name and information on the boards I really do. I reported them but I'm sure my report was totally useless. Feel free to look at my history at the last game I was sona. Check my teammates and their histories and come to your own conclusions. If a Red did it, it would be even nicer.

well, i don't really like the title of your post as it implies that all gold players do this. other than that, i see your point. i see who you are talking about and it does match up with what you are saying. sorry you had him on your team in your promos. I've also seen people being able to carry games and toss that away because they are really toxic or upset (and they believe the game is loss or they are just angry), so he might be down there because of attitude.

either way, people like that are annoying.

I'm just going to say right now that just because a person is or was in gold doesn't mean that they were or are necessarily good and I say this mainly because of people Duo with their friend in a high elo but smurfing. trust me I was only in silver last season and went up against gold's and higher by going even with them in lane or beating them in lane.

Also if this so called gold was paired up with you and your in bronze 4 than that gold is clearly awful (in comparison to other gold's) as the matchmaking is very rarely imbalanced to that point

and another thing is that this sort of thing isn't just a gold bronze interaction although I have been in the same situation before (gold lee sin stop playing and just clicked around base). It is literally the player base of league. elo doesn't matter. You'll get bronze who afk and golds who afk that's the unfortunate truth

Probably just joined a gold 3s team to get a gold border for rewords last season.
