IS THERE SERIOUSLY NO WAY TO SUBMIT FEEDBACK TO RIOT???
I have been trying to get in contact with riot for 10 days now. Kinda getting frustrating how resistant they are to accepting feedback (although on their website they claim to "humbly encourage, seek, and accept feedback").
My name is David. I have been playing league of legends since season 3. League is my favorite game. I have probably played over 4000 league games in the last 5 years. I particularly enjoy playing aram, ranked, and normals.
I always try to be supportive of my teammates in league. I have never received a chat restriction or a ban on any of my accounts. In seasons 3 and 4 I held an honor crest for honorable opponent. I want to be a positive influence on the want to continue to be a positive influence on the culture of the game; however, recently I have struggled to find the same enjoyment that I have experienced when playing the game over the last 5 years.
Initially I thought that I just needed to take a break from playing league. For this reason, I stopped playing league for 4 months last summer. However, I came back to the game to still find it less enjoyable than it had been previously. Now I am confident that the game is less enjoyable to me because of the recent changes with champion releases and gamemodes.
In particular, the release of Zoe was an obvious mistake in my opinion from riot games. So many montages have been released on youtube about Zoe 1 shots...because that is how the champion is designed. Being one shot is one of the most tilting experiences in league and hurts the overall gameplay experience/culture of the game.
Another mistake in my opinion was the release of dark harvest. Dark harvest may be balanced in terms of win percentages; however, the rune itself is designed to encourage 1 shots. This increases the probability of players tilting and really hurts the gameplay experience.
Finally, I think that I am having less fun in URF because of the the recent changes. For me it was much more enjoyable to play whatever champ i wanted rather than being forced to play a random champ. It is much easier for me to tilt when I lose because I don't get an op champ rather than when I lose because the enemy team chose op champs. Also, the snowball is fun when you hit it, but it is also one of the most tilting things to die from a snowball or to miss your snowball, especially on jg camps. Finally, the idea of snowdown skin champs is cool, but it doesnt work because all the games feel the same.
I have been playing this game for 5 years so I doubt it is me that has changed. The game has changed recently and I think that it is for the worse. I have enjoyed several changes in league, particularly the introduction of trinkets, the introduction of scuttle crab, the removal of deathfire grasp, and the changes to dragon/baron/rift herald. These changes kept the game interesting and new to me, but lately the changes have made me tilt harder, flame teammates, and leave games.
I hope you carefully consider how your changes impact the player enjoyment of the game. Recently for me they have made the game worse, not better. I think one simple solution to the URF problem would be to introduce 2 game modes, one regular URF and one snowdown ARURF. Also the introduction of ff @ 10 for URF could be a really good idea.
All I want from riot is for them to say "I hear you". But so far all I have gotten is "the balance team will look at the board if they happen to desire your feedback". Comment below if you think that wanting Riot to spend 1 minute to read my post is an unreasonable request.
Thanks,
David
