Back in season 4 I went 2-8 and received bronze 3. In season 6 one of my friends went 4-6 and received bronze 1. Two of my other friends decided to play their provisional matches and they both go 2-8, yet they both receive silver 5?
What the hell. Back in season 4 I went 4W-6L and got bronze 3 as well. How did this guy that went 2W-8L get placed the same as me?!
Depends on what you were the previous season and pretty much how well you did in those matches. If you died every 2 minutes then of course it's gonna rank you lower.. this is the only time stats matter and that's when in the initial placement.
first season people usually get Silver 5 no matter how bad they perform, after your first season Riot doesn't grade you so easily
