Why Tryndamere's so bad in ARAM
So I've played it, you've played it, we've all probably played Tryndamere in ARAM and reached the same conclusion. He's only good if fed a handful of kills. Otherwise, he falls off due to how squishy he is and the nature ARAM is played. At first I thought it was his movement speed, so I tried different builds to compensate it.
But then it dawned upon me. As I was reading a forum, I realized Tryndamere isn't just slow, he also has a very short melee range. In fact, when compared to Xin Zhao, Wukong, and Jarvan's melee range of 175, it doesn't make any sense for his range to be 125 when his sword is so huge he literally drags it on the ground whenever he moves. I mean come on, Amumu has the same 125 range.
Then I thought back to all the ARAMs where I was < a millimeter away during a chase, but couldn't swing. At first I thought it was because I was always being slowed, stunned, kicked across lane, and then slowed again. But then I realized it was not only that most champs now have a TON of CC, but also even with my abilities and the items I build to counter that CC, Tryn's blade still doesn't reach sometimes. And this happens a hell of a lot more often than not in ARAM.
My point is that, if my basic attacks didn't have the same range as a bare-handed mummy like Amumu, then maybe the ADC wouldn't always taunt me saying "maybe one day Tryn" while we play tag.
Does anyone see anything wrong with my suggestion? Critique or ideas? Anything is welcome
