Technical Question Regarding Azir's Soliders and Nashor's Tooth

Do Azir's soldiers (W) receive the unique passive (15% bonus magic damage) to AA's from Nashor's Tooth ? I have seen this question everywhere and for the most part I'm thinking that it doesn't. I'm just confused because I have my own item build path for Azir but it looks like with the new update they have revamped the suggestions. Curiously, Nashor's Tooth is there and I'm concerned that I'm being recommended to use an item that may not be cost effective. In other words, if it applies then I'll start incorporating it into my build because it does work well with Azir's kit and I have used it before not knowing about the lack of bonus damage application. If it doesn't work, then I feel it is more effective to go Rabadon's Deathcap or Void Staff and probably should not be recommended as veteran Azir players will know the difference and new Azir players will pick up a bad habit of picking up a bad item! Please someone give me the math on this or something?!
