11/21 PBE Update: K/DA Akali Prestige Edition Tweaks, Chroma Assets, & more

As Snow Down event is coming soon, and Riot Mort has stated that Prestigious Akali will be available through Snow Tokens, I sincerely hope that there won't be an event pass barricade like you did on Worlds event.

I love KDA. Everyone love KDA. Players love it because they are high quality. Riot loves it because I believe it's likely the most profitable thing Riot has done this year. I'm totally fine with Riot try to maximize profit by rushing Prestigious Akali immediately after KDA success. But what I don't like is the Event Pass system implemented during World Event.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is unhappy with event pass. To be honest I was really burnt out by all the token grinding. I ddin't feel a huge achievement the moment I forged golden kaisa. It feels like I spent 1650 RP on a skin which I was also forced to grind games for a month to obtain. It just does not feel good.

Prestigious Akali is likely to be 2500 Snow Tokens. I beg whoever are in charge of this event that please develop a better mission system to obtain Prestigious Akali. No one wants a scammy button says "Claim your 2000 tokens" where in fact you have to spent cash to "claim" those tokens. No one wants to feel forced to play during holiday season.

Maybe some of you have better ideas on how to make Snow Down event enjoyable to ALL players, and Prestigious Akali's obtainability reasonable. Feel free to comment below and god bless some rioters see it.

im a fan of the pass system but it gives too few tokens to make it viable for a regular to get the skins they want, they should buff the token gains

I don't think there's a precedent for a pass offerring, except for the Worlds' event. What makes you think that they planned to sell snowdown passes?

I like the passes, I guess I'm one of few. As a person who likes to feel like if I buy something and I get to reward myself by playing a lot to earn more stuff because of it, I feel good about it usually. but uh the worlds pass was too expensive this year. I was a bit shook about it.

If there IS some sort of pass, I'd recommend skipping out on it unless it A: isn't as expensive as Worlds because I doubt the snowdown event will last six weeks like worlds, and B: if it gives out more tokens. The grind was horrendous, especially since a lot of people were playing 4-5 games a day for what is, at its core, a fancy chroma that they already had to pay ten dollars for.

AW for fucks sake please dont buy the cash grab edition or we will see this crap again,normal skin just like chroma packs they will milk it dry with every skin release will come 10 more chromas and a prestige edition with 10 chromas of its own that will require you to own the normal skin to buy prestige editions mark my fucking words.

I sure am glad I decided to buy K/DA Akali. I'm sure glad I forked money over only to have Riot make me pay a second time for a rarer version of the skin they should've announced a while ago. I got the Eve and Akali skins then earned prestige Kaisa, now if I want the fuller version of the skins I'll need to pay again. Cool.

make it 50$ buck to get the skin. People don't have to grind but need to pay the price.
