Aatrox's Q begins counting down before the animation ends.

Something I found incredibly frustrating when playing Aatrox was trying to Q and then reposition for the next one, only to have my Q be unavailable and on cooldown. I went into practice tool and noticed that the duration you have before Q runs out begins counting down when the ability is cast, not when the animation finishes. I think changing this so the countdown begins after the animation finishes would make Aatrox feel a lot better as it would give you more time to reposition yourself between Q casts.

Most likely because riot doesn't know how to code an ability that doesn't lock your other abilities while being used and at the same time start the abilty's self countdown AFTER the ability ends.

The animation cast time is a constant, isn't it? So the duration remaining starting at the beginning or the end of Q is irrelevant, it's literally equivalent to having a longer duration or not (?). The only thing it would change to start remaining duration at end of cast, compared to adding a value of time to remaining duration approximately equal to cast time, would be QOL cause some people prefer having their icon to start counting down later, but faster?

Because it's not an instant cast, it's a brief channel.
