Pre Season new Loot System Question

I need to make one quick question, I dont really know where to make it so ill write it here and hope it gets to the right hands. With the new pre season coming Ive read there will be a change on Bad Luck protection. I currently have 3 boxes ready to open, but my questio is, should i wait for that new system to come into live or these particular boxes wont be affetcted with the new loot system?
