Why does one mistake @25 minutes give you 50-second respawn timers and cost you the game?

I can't tell you how many times I've watched as the ADC or support or someone gets caught out at around the 25-minute mark, and they die and rest of the team gets engaged on and then it's either Baron -> Inhibs -> GG, or if you get aced it's just a straight run down mid with 4 towers and an inhib getting slobberknockered before you even get a chance to respawn.

It's pretty tilting to play so well each game, only to have one mistake on your team cost the game.

Mostly it's because riot doesn't want games that last longer than 30 minutes.

Some of these games can be salvaged if players don't run in (usually 1 at a time) and try to 4v5 "revenge ace" the enemy team

Just stay alive and use the towers to buy time for the res.

Riot doesnt want long games because they think it make esports boring. Tell that to the folks who watch 4 hour sporting events.
