The obscenely heavy influnence esports has on balance needs to stop.

I don't even want to watch esports anymore. All it is now is dreading a champ I love is going to start getting picked and eventually be ruined in favor of keeping the same bland meta for pro play. Taliyah Rakan Aatrox Azir Just to name a few of the champs I've loved that have been absolutely decimated in favor of pro play. It seriously needs to stop.

wow, proper and high skill play having a big impact on balance! shocker! let's instead use low quality and low skill games where champion potential is barely utilized! brilliant...

Ignoring specific champions for a moment I feel the reason for the burstier meta the past few years is because it makes for a more exciting spectator esport but not as enjoyable for your average player as a game. Assassins and burst mages, sure, but I know a lot of folks enjoy the game more when burst/snowball isn't as extreme and fights last longer.

I am sorry for those of you who have trouble reading, but I mean things like "Lets break Rakan's legs because he's played in pro games, or "let's make Azir bottom tier for a literal two years" I'm not saying balance around low elo. I'm saying stop removing champions from being played at all elos because of pro play.

All I've learned here is apparently the community is okay with champions not being able to be played successfully for months to years at a time solely because of pro play.
