Plants in league of legends? WUT?

Are this plants really necessary..? cant we like use our own individual skill to get away, heal, and survive? why do we have to help those who chase to get that 1 kill, dont know how to build against certain champs such as karthus, and plants that give vision like i mean if you cant ward/farsight properly thats on you.... riot shouldnt be giving you a hand to help you do things that YOU should be doing to improve. just my thoughts... this plants are not needed in the game.
