Helping out melee adcs

Marksmen have the same potential for damage as melee adcs except they have the godmode advantage of being ranged. A way to help out the melees quickly and efficiently is to buff items specifically for them.

Ex : Frozen heart : 15% AS debuff for marksmen ( like normal) but 10% AS debuff for melees. These micro buffs can be applied to offensive items as well.

This could be just with melees need to make a comeback in this game and im sure riot could do much better with the numbers so as to not overbuff.

That's just a nerf to tanks.

An actual buff would be to increase the power of Frozen Heart to 20% against ranged.

Cant really buff Melee ADCs like that because they will never replace Ranged ADCs, most if not all of them are played WITH a Ranged one, like Yasuo/Yi/Trynd. Buffing them would just make their laning easier and they would then provide more room for the ranged carry to destroy everyone.

Personally, to buff melee adc's, you need to buff their sustain and there is no way of doing that in the games current state because yasuo was considered OP until they dropped his base hp by 50. I don't know why that was the deal breaker cause he still puts out the same damage as usual but that's what the game is like atm.

Melee ADC's do have some problems right now. I think the issue is largely a problem with itemization - melee adc's simply do not have the inherent defenses in their kits that ranged adc's do; namely the ability to attack at range. For melee adcs to properly function, they'd need to be able to gain defenses while still building offensive stats. On top of that, ranged adcs gain all of the same benefit from the items that melee adcs get from building the same items.

There are not items specifically talored to MADCS, and there are not enough items which are Melee Only in general.

There needs to be a melee only item, which gains defensive stats for building offenses, but Riot is really leery of building such things, because it would "benefit fighters." It's the reason why they don't buff Atma's for instance.

So... to have such an item, it would have to give some madc stats, with scaling defenses based off of those stats, be melee only, while paradoxically unscaling off of defensive stats.

Something like...

Jeden's Spiked Shield 25% crit chance 30% Attack speed MELEE ONLY Unique - Tenacity: The duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds, polymorphs, and immobilizes are reduced by 35% Unique Passive -Jagged Spikes: Grants bonus armor equal to your bonus attack speed. It loses 1 point of armor for each 2 points of bonus armor you have (outside of this item) Unique Passive - Reflective Shield: Grants bonus MR equal to 50% of your crit chance. Loses 1 point of MR for each 2 points of bonus MR you have (outside of this item)

Exactly, im not saying my idea is a good one. Im just saying that i feel as if the way to balance out melees in the game lies somewhere in itemization and NOT in buffing/nerfing specific champions.

Any melee who builds like glass. This includes ap/hybrid builds as well. Atm the only real carries in the game are all ranged (except for some very rare champions like fizz). Being melee and building like glass is a huuuge disadvantage. Thier carrying potential drops to nothing as soon as the laning phase is over and teams come together. The only time melee carries actually carry is against unorganized teams. Otherwise they get kited/blownup/cc'd to death.
