A dying game
What makes up League of legends? What is League of Legends at it's core? It's the game. There are many things that are killing League of Legends. Almost all of which, stem from the balance team and Reddit. Before I start, I must say that I think it's sad that Riot listens to Reddit more so than their actual game forums... but what can you expect from a company that ruined the most popular game on PC. The (Clearly) biased balance team (which by the way is made up of mostly adc and mid mains (supposedly)) clearly favors their own lanes and not complete game balance. It's pretty funny how there are no top lane mains on the balance team and coincidentally top lane is the worst in the entire game. ADC's get all the attention, with mid then support then jungle and miles, miles below is top lane. More specifically, top lane bruisers. By the way, the HIGHEST WIN RATE CHAMPS ARE AS FOLLOWS in top 1- Quinn 2- GP 3- Darius (with a 49 win ratio so idk why he's here) uses conq 4-Garen 5-Jax uses conq 6-Singed 7-kled uses conq 8-Yorick 9-Jayce 10- Kennen only 3 of the top 10 "OP TOP" champions use conq and it gets a nerf. Let's not forget, an ADC is number 1 in top lane. Despite having a weak early game against full tank champions, (Grasp Mundo can all in better than Darius (Named the "lane bully") in higher elos and Malokai can poke you down with the cancer saps) a decent mid game (assuming your auto filled support or first time champ in ranked doesn't feed their lane) and a weaker late game (inability to have a very strong team fight), bruisers have the more expensive item build, and their items are worse. How can you take off 10 damage off numerous bruiser items and not ATLEAST take off 350 gold (the price of a longsword)? Bruiser players are OFTEN forced to play full tank champions because of how much better they are. And NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!!!!! Remeber a month ago when Swain went bot lane (a MAGE BY THE WAY) (and still can) and adc's for a week had to play different champions? Oh the OUTRAGE! T1 was screaming and crying, QTpie was first timing champs in ranked (which should be a bannable offence) and complained, doublelift complained, everyone complained. And then ADC's were restored to their glory, being number 1 and all. Back to one shotting people with one item, even if you are 0/10 and the enemy bruiser is 10/1 I find it HILARIOUS that people take "bruisers" bot and there is a MELTDOWN, yet when Quinn is played in bot mid AND TOP we are just supposed to take it. Take it up our rears. How is that fair? Where's the outrage? By the way, Yasuo is not a bruiser, he does not build bruiser items. Swain is not a bruiser, he is a mage. Bruisers in the past few metas have been beaten around more than me when I fight with my older brother. The Trinity Steraks nerf only applied to like 3 champions and those champions were viable for a short time. Then, you guys at Riot went and nerfed Conquerer. Which, for those of you who don't know, was for all the bruiser items we did NOT GET. That's right. Adc's got an item that gaurentees crits after 1 second of not autoing, an item that deals true damage per crit, and bruisers got item nerfs and lied to (no items). Again, a basic bruiser build costs MORE than every other lane in the game. And they have WORSE gameplay!!! Tanks SLAP around bruisers and they use GRASP OF THE UNDYING. Mundo is the best top laner at the moment. What does he use? Grasp. What does Olaf use? Comet. Pretty much a majority of top lane doesn't use conquerer, and those that do still get bamboozled by full tanks.
On top of items and item prices being so unfair, general champion design is also unbelieveablely biased. Not only do ADC's get the most damage in the game, ranged attacks which shut down every champion unless they have flash or hook, a person who is glued to them 24/7 (support) they ALSO get MORE scaling hp than some bruisers. It is hilarious how I watch top laners full-in dive an ADC with like 1500 hp and they get shields and heals worth more than 3500 hp. I understand that squishy champions should get an escape. I really do, and I'm smart enough to see that. But having the ability to be healed and shielded so much that you have more sustain and hp than bruisers? That I am NOT smart enough to see. Janna? I see that champion and it makes me want to snap my monitor into two pieces. BUT WAIT, THERE's MORE!!!!!!!!!! Do you know who Kai'Sa is? She has almost as much mobility as Talon! So far here's what I have pieced together = Bruisers < Tanks with grasp ------> Conq gets nerfed Bruisers < ADC's with cheap op items -----> Gets Sterakk's nerf, no bruiser items anymore :))) Bruisers < Assassians -----> Titanic damage nerf But the most frustrating thing is the fact that top lane is so dead, people get AUTOFILLED into top lane. As a top lane main playing Darius, you can get matched against a first time Ornn or Olaf or Gnar and get slapped. Slapped HARD. Not to mention playing against a full tank that can out sustain you isn't fun for either player. For real, ask yourself "If a champion has a weak early game, more expensive, weaker items, can't influence the game basically at all, less mobility and damage than basically every other class in the game, has a summoner spell (TP) that is being nerfed then WHY would I play them? WHY??" The continued ignorance by riot is only making this game bleed out faster. Instead of watching these ADC streamers fight fed tanks and bruisers and mage champions and then die, then flocking to Reddit and complaining, look at the actual facts. Do you know what happens when people's mains or what ever role they play are FORCED to pick boring, only hp champions, don't have fun, get beat by everything else, and then are ignored by the devs do? They STOP PLAYING. Bruisers are being shoved into the Jungle like that one nerd at your school gets shoved into lockers. They are also like the man on Riverdale who is blamed for a crime he did not commit, then killed for it. ADC's were smashed by a crit damage champion (Yasuo) who to this day is STILL busted and a full ap mage (Swain) and they look at champs like Darius and irelia and camille and say "Y0U! You did THISSSSSSS!" And what's even WORSE is the fact that all riot employees are fans of these streamers and they help make things worse! For no reason! Also, the fact that they lied about Top lane Kayn is dumb. I wish I could refund my skin because we got scammed. They PROMISED TOP LANE KAYN. Where is the bruiser now? He is in jungle, which is worse than death.
Even if you disagree with everything I said, you should atleast agree with this - A balance team at Riot should consist of 10 people max, 2 of each role to make balancing fair. Not 5 ADC mains, 3 mid mains, a jungle and support or whatever the actual number is. ESPECIALLY if they make balance changes off of a majority vote. And you should ponder this: if bruisers, more specifically, trinity force conq bruisers are so OP, then why do they lose to full tanks consistently early mid (sometimes) and late game? Why should one class maybe two if you count mid lane decide what happens to top laners? Why is it that when top lane players complain, nothing happens, but when popular adc streamers complain, their voices are heard so clearly? Also, if you are a pleb that is going to say " trinity force bruisers do so much damage, and can't be countered wah wah waaaah" then I ask you this: what were you doing when that bruiser was trying to stockpile almost 3800 gold to buy it, and why don't you have your 3200 gold item which gaurentes crits which can singlehandedly shut down any bruiser's early game due to lack of armor. If tri force costed 3200 then it would be unfair because then we could actually build armor and boots and such. But, it costs almost 3800 which is 600 more than the op adc item. Wait, 600 gold? You mean enough for boots and a dagger that increases movement speed and attack rate? giving you more of an ability to kite out a bruiser or tank and deal more damage?
Just like the left side of this forums page says, Every mistake is a lesson. Playing this game was a mistake, and learning about Riot games was many lessons actually. They openly bias against lanes, disregard others, lie to the players, and make crap balance changes. To amend the words in The Incredibles: HOOOOOONEY, WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE ARE MY BRUISER ITEMS. To amend the words in Toy story, Riot games, you have NOT got a friend in me.
