Why am I matched against silver players in normal game if I'm unranked lvl 27?

Lately I lost a lot of normal games where I went against bronze/silver players who were around lvl 40 while I'm unranked lvl 27 player. I don't want to play anymore because I just get stomped by others and end up feeding anyway. I want to play games where I have at least some chance of winning... Is there anything that can be done?
