Explain This Absurdity to Me, Garen Content

Explain to me how as a full tank seij vs. a full tank garen, he does 1800 damage (49% of my health) with his ult?

Holy nerf, for real.

Can you link one of your games? It's pretty hard to talk about damage numbers without the item build to look at. "Full tank" means different things for different champions.

The first question to ask is if you were the villain? If so you can blame a lot of that on the fact that true damage was needlessly tacked on to his ultimate as a form of late game power booster.

If not the answer is that, while his ult did damage equal to 49% of your max health, he did not use his ult until you were very, very low. The death recap shows all overkill damage, and since Garen's ult scales with missing health it potentially generates a lot of overkill.

Nevermind that Garen isn't exactly the strongest at the moment. Nevermind that outside of being the villain his ult acts exactly as it has since season 1. What you're asking here is hardly enough to call for a nerf.

were you the villain?

did he actually ult you on 1800 health? his rank 3 ult scales with 40% missing health, and death recap is retarded.

it wont cut off overkill damage. so when you have 4000 hp and he ults you on 100 health it makes it look ridiculous.

Lets be honest here, if anything is happening to Garen its going to be a buff not a nerf.

For him to be able to deal the amount of damage you state, you first had to be missing 3187 health out of your 3673 health you had. Meaning his ult really only did 486 actual damage to you.

Garen deals more damage with his ultimate the lower your health is and becomes true damage if you are the villain (pretty sure you know just putting all the facts in one post). The issue is that damage is uncapped the lower you get and death recap will show total damage dealt even if that damage exceeds the health you actually had remaining.

For example a 3,500 health Sejuani that gets ultied when she has 200 health remaining would take 1,320 damage thus adding to the 1800 you were dealt when you include the 525 base damage at max rank. That being said his ultimate did 200 damage to you not 1825 as you only had 200 health.

Veigar is similar in the outrageous damage dealt in the recap which is misleading.

some ults are meant to single champion damage, some ults are meant to do AOE damage, some ults are meant to provide CC, some ults are meant to heal. I could go on. but you get it, different ults for different champions. pretty simple. get over it

I hope it really is the case of mis representing the damage, I dont care if you are full ad garen, you shouldnt be doing 1800 damage for one ability.

So basically, RIOT is lazy is what it comes down to. Dude does 6 damage to me, but shows 8k on my screen. Really great system you have RIOT, whats the point of even getting to look at the damage after you are dead if its not clearly accurate.
