Zed support
so this came up when me and my friend were talking about pike and my friend said if pike is a support then zed is too. now i guess i could work but what would you build.

Zed has zero real supportive capabilities. Pyke's ultimate damage is based on his level. Zed is not Pyke has hard CC, Zed does not. Pyke is a tad more forgiving if behind (as a good support should be) while Zed is kind of not helpful if behind.
I wouldn't say just because <insert assassin here> is a support, than <insert other assassin here> is one.
Zed support will only be able to deal dmg too the other support unless you get alot of kills inadvertently fiesta match bot.... and if you don't kill the support your either dead or working on your sick jukes as you watch your team die too the lack of your dmg, heals, shield, cc.
Me personally if I saw you on zed I would buy

This is a terrible idea. But, I like terrible ideas. So let's try to make it work.
Zed is an ad assassin. So is Pyke. That's pretty much where the similarities end.
So, mostly throw out the Pyke model and start from scratch.
If we are going to go a support zed build, I think the best thing to do might be to go some kind of off-tank bruiser zed. This will allow you to do enough damage to force the enemy team to focus you instead of your adc when you go in, but hopefully allow you to also survive the focus. Perhaps something like
(boots depend on matchup) If you wanna change it up at some point

soooo something like that could work out fairly well I think. Of course, it depends on the matchup and the team comps a bit. You might need more/less damage or more/less tankyness, might even wanna take stuff to just help peel for adc like

Gameplan- for the most part, your early will be fairly weak. Play like a bitch until at least level 4. Once level 4, your combo does a lot of harass damage and once you're level 6 your base stats will be high enough to do a bunch of damage vs many adcs and supports. Until that point, however, you are gonna get harassed and will have to just try to do damage control.
After level 6, hopefully you've gotten an early kill and some gold. You'll need it. Zed needs lots of gold to be worth a fuck. Use your gold to either snowball bot lane extremely hard or take your lead to the mid lane. Zed can roam extremely well, and you can use zed to catch the enemy mid (or top) off guard. Careful not to leave bot unattended too long, otherwise the enemy will kill your adc and they will bitch you out for playing zed. (even if maybe they could have just backed off a little while you got that tower mid lane)
If you don't snowball this lane, you will not do enough damage to have any real impact in fights and will probably want to just go to a tank build rather than a bruiser build. Just go full adc protekt mode and wish you were someone better at it xD
