Hi, my duo bot partner, Ramza2468, and I just went 9/1 in our placements and we were placed in bronze 4 and 5. We played with silver elo's as well and we were curious as to why we were placed so low after getting such a good score. I did worse in last season's promos and was placed in bronze 1

Because you ended B4 last season, and if you are doing placements after finishing a rank last season (not fresh from an unranked account), the placements will 90% of the time reset you down to a lower rank, hence why people call it the reset. You were placed normally.
