How many games do i need to lose to drop from D5
Hey, I'm about to be diamond 5 and i'm wondering how many games i need to lose to drop? Because i want to play allot when im diamond 5 and i dont want to risk being demoted because of it... Thanks

As with every other tier, theres no set amount of losses to get demoted. Getting demoted depends on your mmr compared to the average for that division. If you're secretly faker and cruised up to diamond 5 with 80% win rate and have a challenger mmr, then you could probably lose dozens of games at D5 before being demoted. On the other hand if you just barely scraped into D5, then it'd probably only take a dozen or so straight losses.
In practice if you have any business at all being diamond 5, you're not going to be demoted though. Getting demoted tiers generally requires an MMR ~1 full tier worth below what you're expected (e.g. plat 5 mmr to be demoted from D5). While lose streaks happen, they're usually just a handful of games, and then theres some wins which offset your mmr losses somewhat, so as long as you're at least legitimately upper plat skill level you're unlikely to fall from D5.
you get 10 protected matches after you go up to d5. after that if your elo falls below the plat 5 level you get axed.
You will get a warning message from the client if you are in danger of demotion from a tier due to low MMR.
i lost so many games that i dropped from d3 to d5 and then there was a sign which said i couldnt get demoted casue i lost too many games lol
