So basically if u have no clue what funneling is its and strat that revolves around master Yi taking both Jungle and mid lane farm turning the game into PvE contest where u cant win. Many players probably already experienced how unfun it is for both sides. The enemy team is playing under the constant pressure knowing that Master is already out scaling you walking everywhere with his gay boy while the other team just doesn't get to have both midlaner and the jungler. Many streamers have already mentioned that topic on Twitter etc. it really is cancer to play against or with this shit every few games, it just comes down to trading lp one way or another. Just let me play the fking game

They will try to fix the funneling strat by spreading the EXP amongst camps so that Yi has to clear more before rush ganking and by reducing the lane minion xp junglers get which again is a significant nerf. Will that really fix the issue? I doubt it but I guess we have to wait and see

Every time JG gets nerfed funneling pops up, it's almost like playing 2 supports instead of a Support and JG is the reason funneling pops up... JG is being buffed next patch and funneling is being nerfed again.

Simplest solution? Actually, meaningfully nerf Master Yi as he is currently, and change him and how he works. Its pretty much always Yi who is the problem with funneling. The support, and even the lane has changed. Its been Kayle, Lulu, Taric, (and if we're honest, it would probably work with Nami and Yuumi as well) and its been both top and mid lane funneling him. Time to figure out that Master Yi is the problem. He needs some serious change.

Is Yi weak early game? Could the enemy jungler along with their support invade and bully him out? Totally asking this out of ignorance because I don't jungle.

Are there any early game strats that could be applied so that by the time he comes "online" it's too late?

I got clapped earlier by a taric skarner funnel team, and it was just as bad, we were beating them early on, but come mid game he became unkillable and just started walking on towers to kill us.

Is there not a way to counterplay this? Riot for years now has made it clear that NO champ truly belongs to specific role so strategies like this are expected and not forbidden (shouldn't be anyways, unless rito wants to start properly classifying champs)... So like while yi and other dude is funneling, doesn't that leave adc alone in lane? There's got to be a downside to the funnel strat people are just too busy complaining and not trying to counter play

okay lets be real for a second. Why would they delete funneling? Group ques have been controlling the game for a while, all funneling does is make it more obvious. Whats wrong with encouraging coordination in a game that already caters to grouped players? Lets just bite the bullet, and accept that the game should be balanced around high mmr/pro scene, and if you cant adapt to that- oh well, you're a low mmr player, get over it. Stop forcing the game to be balanced around bad, uncoordinated players, it doesnt encourage anyone to get any better. Need evidence? Look at nearly every sub-Diamond laner. They STILL think they dont need to learn macroplay, jungle paths, or assist their jungler. Literally 90% of these people are still under the impression that their lvl4 jungler is supposed to carry their level 7 lane for them. These players are allowed to reach high plat because of stupid balance decisions around low MMR. All these people should be silver at best, they dont understand the game. But...bad balancing and poor choices by Riot allows these players who refuse to change/adapt to reach high plat and sometimes even low diamond if they que hard enough.
