Snowballs ruined ARAM

I know ARAM isnt a serious game mode but there is a reason why I didnt play the Poro king game mode and now I wont be playing normal ARAM either..

The engage of the snowball make tanks and engage champions OP while adc's and many other champs are rendered useless... Its not fun anymore because no matter how well you try and position, you eat a snowball and you are now dead

It's not even that tanks and frontliners feel OP outside of it just feeling obnoxious that people are constantly flying around on a 20 second cooldown. It's just a really dumb addition. Honestly ARAM was fine before. If you look at winrates not a whole lot has changed - Sona, Galio, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Ziggs, etc are still all winning far more than other champions. It's just a lot more obnoxious to play. Not fun at all.

Yup one more of way too many dumb to even know what to say 'updates' Rito has done over the last.. oh, I dunno... year and a half?

Well, at least I won't be instantly useless as Udyr, Singed, Garen and Volibear.

EDIT: But I agree that the spell isn't fine. Its fun, but the cooldown and perhaps range are too low.

None of those champions are particularly useless in ARAM...

Their engages are predictable (without spell) and get completely wasted by any kind of CC (instead of just knockups), they are 100% melee and rely on ganking/early advantage to be useful in regular games.

My only guess of a champion that doesn't seem very good on this mode here too would be probably Warwick, but he has a blink when he hits 6, and Shyvana, but her I don't have.

But I can respect your opinion. Who do you hate to get the most?

Personally I hate getting assassins the most, but that's more of a playstyle difference than anything. I'd much rather have someone beefy enough to dictate a teamfight when one happens, rather than have someone with damage or heavy engage.

I guess it depends on the assassin though. Yi and Nidalee can actually do very well vs the uncoordinated teams of ARAM, while someone like Nocturne can struggle severely. But neither Garen nor Udyr can actually dictate TFs either, and Voli and Singed are quite situational too.

All I am saying is that many melee champions used to mean a big disadvantage, which now can be erased thanks to the new spell. While needing a nerf, it should not be taken away.

I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree. In a regular match having tankyness alone isn't typically enough to split a well coordinated team, but in ARAM people stop paying attention, and it becomes far easier for someone with no disruption abilities to disrupt.

I think the DASH should have a capped range not too much longer than snowball itself. It's REALLY obnoxious when I get tagged with a snowball, retreat, and then get dived under my second tower FROM THEIR FIRST TOWER.
