got to gold 3 in season 4 and now ive been demoted a full division.
now for all of you philosophers to show up saying i deserve the demotion and that i was actually playing at a bronze mmr the whole time.

Maybe everyone is just crunched down.
You know the highest diamonds/masters/challengers can place is plat 1 even if they go 10-0? Thing is they have higher than plat MMR and will all gain lots of LP and lose minimal LP.
Point is everyone perhaps got crunched down, the more the higher you were. But if you do good in provisionals your MMR is probably above your current standing so you will gain easy LP; maybe if you would check after your next win...
Consider this to be a fun experience. You get to go 30/0 and wreck all the Bronze players like me.
So far I've won my first two and then lost 3 in a very shameful way (one of the enemy teams had ad kat....). The highest I got last season was Silver 1.

Based on statistics of other qq players threads (with 7 wins, 3 loses = Silver/bronze), you are already on Bronze, it's just that you don't have the official Badge yet.
I was 8-2......got placed in the exact same division...
