Please do something with Talon.

I am a die hard Talon main since the beginning of S3, which is when I think he shined the most although completely underrated at the time. I loved his all or nothing lonewolf playstyle. The extreme high risk high reward factor made this my favorite champion.

Heres why I think Talon has been indirectly nerfed into oblivion and is a garbage champion now.

-Trinkets. Talons ult was intended to be an escape after killing his squishy target. Every single game I play now is me hoping the enemy support doesnt upgrade there trinket to early thus making my ult kind of useless. The rush of pressing ghostblade and running into the enemy team 1v5 STRATEGICLY and killing there ADC, then escaping was a characteristic that I truly loved when playing Talon. Nowadays that is nearly IMPOSSIBLE.

-Removal of regular wards and replacing with pink wards. are you fuckin serious. refer to ^

-Ghostblade stats edit. Talon basicly had 1 viable build. Ghostblade, hydra or BT, LW, IE, cleaver. Ghostblade no longer gives crit chance. Every true Talon main will know that the combination of the old ghostblade and IE was an unstoppable force. With the changes to ghostblade, which may be better for alot of champions, made talon that much worse.

-Removal of silence. This is where you messed up, hard. His silence was personally one of the most important parts of his kit.

Talon was the only champion I honestly enjoyed playing. Now he's shit. He's gotten nothing but nerfs since release. Show him some love.

Are you ready for the heretical statements? I have about 50 games on Talon Jungle, and I built him as an off-tank (2 damage items, 3 bruiser/defensive items) for a vast majority of those games. If you got Tiamat before your enchanted machete, you could successfully sustain during your clear and still gank, plus you don't fall off late nearly as hard. My full build usually looked like this... item 1400 item 3074 item 3117 item 3071 item 3742 item 3156 It's only just now with the changes to the jungle, Tiamat, and crit items that I think crit has become viable on Talon, much less essential (in my opinion). I actually think you can do a lot of work with this build while still getting more crit than was usually possible with the old items. item 3508 item 3031 item 3117 item 3812 item 3026 item 3036 And that build is just the tip of the iceberg. I've been trying to find other playstyles for Talon before calling him "garbage" or "shit." I know it can be hard sometimes, but try some new builds or strategies out, you might like them!

Here's why I'm torn about this, and my thoughts on Talon. He was only shafted by the crit removal because he needed it late game to 1 shot ADCs with Q. Now you could say the item changes are the problem, but in my opinion, isn't the gameplay pattern the problem? I think Talon needs a rework, and has so more or less since his silence removal (probably earlier actually), and the issues we have now playing him are the results of his environment changing and forcing him into something he cannot do.

I get most of us are big Talon fans but lets be honest. He's not exactly hard to play. He's about as hard as most assassins by virtue of being one, albeit magnified by his lack of a true escape, but seriously he's not too skill intensive. So when you have a champion like that whose role is to assassinate. how is he supposed to have a healthy gameplay pattern? I sure as hell don't play him for his gameplay (asides from the blades and ult-invis-lane-ganks), I play him cos hes without a doubt the most badass badass in the game. And cos dat cape hnnnnng

TL;DR Talon needs a rework, what we are seeing now are symptoms of that need.

Because they feel they didn't mess up. They knew exactly what they were doing when they took away his silence and changed the ad items. These people may not pay attention to other maps other than Summoner's Rift when it comes to updates in general. But I'm confident they make sure to see how a champion is interacted with everyone else before they even announce it.

They didn't mess up, Talon is sitting at a 49% win rate which is really good.

This fuckin' guy. Lol.

I've been a Talon main since Season 2.

If you think Talon is weak right now, you're terrible at the game.

Here is my Talon build: item 1036 item 1036 item 1036 item 1036 item 1036 item 1036

this new reaver is amazing on him, have you tried?

Apex Liar11/26/2015, 10:44:37 PM2 votes

Try coming at this without showing so much aggression. I can see where you are coming from as I myself love playing Katarina, but her Toxic kit is too hit or miss. Maybe you could ask Riot if they have any plans with him in the near future and see if you have any ideas on what can be done.

Telling the designers of the most popular video game in the world that they messed up... is not the right way to go.

I'm also a Talon main, although I probably don't have as much games as I'd like, as next month would be the month where I'd be a full year actively playing league, so in total, I have about 700-800 league games in total, combining ranked and norms, and I'd imagine I have 100+ talon games.

I'm really disappointed that the ghostblade doesn't give anymore crit, I feel like Talon is given less options for his build path now.

I wasn't on league when the silenced was removed, but I mean, I think I'm fine without it, because when you're ahead as talon, you can burst them down in a second, so the 99% slow on the blink is fine with me.

I also don't like his early game sustain, I'd usually start Crystaline flask because of the mana regen and health, but since that's removed, talon has a bunch of early game mana and sustain problems.

I think riot should do something with talon. ;-;

hold on now talon only lost 5% crit chance trinity got its crit chance buffed to 20% from 10% its just he gets his crit chance much later in the game so he is weaker early

he kind of even'd out on the crit chance thing since he got 20 more ad and only lost 5% crit chance in his build.;

however hes still not in a good spot right now

also talons "all or nothing" playstyle is what makes him unique

To me, it seems that Talon was actually much more reliant on his autoattacks than his skills late game due to the cast time of W. I'm no expert but from what I know, the top tier talons didn't even bother Wing late game sometimes because it slowed down their E/auto/Q/ult. The removal of crit and increasing AD on Ghostblade was actually bad.

http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/yYBm9rXq-i-honestly-love-the-changes-placed-in-however-i-as-well-as-many-have-a-few-suggestions

19 and 20 would help fix his lost of LW

As for the tiamat nerf sadly all I can ask of riot is to revert the change or lower the price but the brutalizer splitup was reasonable

Once 19+20 are implemented talon and alot of assassins will be fine where they are.
