You know what sucks the most about Riot and this game?

Hello, Just some background on me since I am posting from an alt account. I have played this game since beta... back before ranked queue was even a thing and they released champions every moth or 2 weeks it seemed... so I have been playing this game for a very long time. My main account was banned for being toxic a few years back. I dropped well over $3,000 into that account. Most of the toxic things I did were chat related but still toxic. I screwed up and that's on me I get it. Not here to dispute anything with that. I am "slightly" =P reformed now.

What really pisses me off though... something that EVERYONE here can relate to is the d-bags who are not toxic in chat but are toxic in their gameplay. For instance... I just finished a game with a Ryze mid while I was playing Amumu jungle... my second blue came up and he was so mad that I didn't give it to him that he started to take ALL of my jungle farm. To the point he was throwing the game. He wasn't laning, joining in team fights, or even attempting to play the game seriously. He spent the rest of the game complaining I took "HIS" blue and pissing my entire team off to the point where my support told Ryze to KYS. My team tried really hard to get a W even with Ryze doing this. Using his ultimate right next to us where he was... running out of team fights to go farm jungle and letting us all die then running in 1v5 by himself... it was so insane.

The bad part about this... this isn't rare. This is VERY common. Something I like to do is favorite their OP.GG summoner page and follow them. Just to see how many games they get away with behavior like this. I have followed so many people that int... I'm talking run it down lanes and int not having a bad game. People who don't get their role and pick it anyways and troll. As well as people who just afk throughout the game over and over again.
While following these pages (even before op.gg and it was lolking or something) I have only seen one player banned that I am assuming... HONESTLY FKN PRAYING at this point... banned for toxic GAMEPLAY.

Toxic gameplay is the worst. I will take a toxic person in chat ALL day as long as they are trying over a person trolling and doing toxic gameplay.

Oh... this random guy said I was useless AF and should KMS? MUTE! Oh... some internet troll said I was the entire reason we lost and I belong in Bronze? MUTE! INSTANTLY FIXES MY PROBLEM AND I CAN STILL ENJOY THE NEXT 20 MINS OF THE GAME! STILL TRY AND DON'T SEE A THING THAT TOXIC PERSON SAYS!

Oh... some guy is inting mid? Oh have to wait for 15 mins to surrender and I can't say anything to him or I will be banned! I can report him at the end of the game though! Oh... this troll got mad because something didn't go his way so now he's pissed and trolling the game and wasting our time forcing a loss on us? Well guess I will report him at the end of the game only to follow his op.gg and see that he never gets banned and does this A LOT. Oh... this guy didnt get jungle but went jungle anyways and trolled the guy who did get jungle? WHELP... I'LL REPORT AT THE END!

It's bogus... the entire system is bogus. IDK if we as a community trolled ourselves into this garbage gameplay or if some dweebs at Riot honestly think words said anonymously over the internet are the most evil thing ever. WAKE THE FUCK UP!

We as consumers should do something... we should fight this idea of toxic chat being worse than toxic gameplay! No one wants to go into a game trying their hardest to get that satisfaction of a W only for one team mate to decide you don't deserve it and they purposely lose you and your team the game. Start banning toxic gameplay first... THAT IS WHAT WILL FIX YOUR GAME AND MAKE IT MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE TO PLAY! We have a mute function... we use it... you guys need to step up where you are lacking. Since BETA it has been like this with toxic gameplay... at least once a day I get someone who does this. Yet when I follow them... they never get banned.

Toxic chat is the same as toxic gameplay. No one has ever said chat is worse.

It just so happens it is monumentally easier to develop an automated system that catches people toxic in chat and punishes them according to their offence (and the frequency) than it is to make one to catch gameplay toxicity.

So if you know how to create such a system so that it reliably catches trolls and inters, but has next to no false punishments for people that are learning a new champ or just have bad game, then go ahead and share it. I can guarantee you that Riot would love to see it.

Make a kind of "tribunal" in which u can download match replaay and watch the.reported player gameplay. Vote ???

And when we had the old Tribunal, it was exceedingly slow, even with an IP bonus for participating in it.

The sheer number of games played in just a single day makes this kind of system unfeasible

u know which is the difference between "exceedingly slow" and the times we have now? abysmal

moreover, riot policy is usually " once tested, never checked again". with time toxicity changed, improved, became smarter. system is the usuall.

IFS: a "AI" that can recognize sarcasm and indirect offences. W O W. how come it cannot perform some mouse click checks to "understand" if player is having a bad game or just trolling? " bzz player A is going in tower range, farming a minion, taking free tower hits.death. OH he does again. imho inter. further checks required. buzz "

This made the rest of your statement invalid. This is so far from the truth it isn't funny. I can enjoy the game so much more by muting some guy being a jerk in chat but still trying to win more than I can enjoy some guy saying nothing in chat and trolling everyone on the team by forcing a loss. Because guess what... I can mute the guy being toxic in chat and it solves the problem.

edit: also chat isnt punished more harshly then inting, its just easier to spot so is therefore faster to punish. in fact, for chat related issues you get a 10 game, 25 game, chat restriction, then a 14 day, then perma. assuming you werent using hate speech ofc, thats literally 3 chances, while confirmed griefing is strait to 14 day, then perma (one chance)

I just finished a game where I was playing Jungle and the Sion inted because of one failed gank top in the first 5 mins of the game. He literally inted because of one play that wasn't even at the 5 min mark.
I bet he gets no punishment for this.

It's something that is too common. It's something that is worse for the game more so than toxic chat. It honestly makes the game unfun!
