Ideas on yasuo's balance (Wind Wall idea)

TL;DR: Reward good use of Wind Wall, while nerfing a missuse leading to a more healthy ability and in turn leading to more healthy kit. Wind Wall's simplicity makes a pretty annoying ability practically impossible to balance. Especially for all ELOs.

Yasuo, historically, has been very difficult to balance, hence all the nerfs and consistent bans, regardless of said nerfs; reasons seem to fluctuate between "annoying to play against" and "he's strong". I think there is a very simple way to add even more skill expression in his kit, while also adding balancability and reducing the "annoying to play against" part a bit. In my opinion, Wind Wall is the source of quite a bit of this frustration due to the fact that it's just a giant wall that blocks every projectile for 4 seconds - he just puts it up and walks around it, often leading to a game of "ring around the rosie" in lower ELO. I think there needs to be more to this ability, as its simplicity makes it harder to balance. My idea is something along the lines of reducing its duration to 1 second (less than live), but if it blocks an ability, allowing it to last the full 4 seconds (live's value). This would add more skill expression because the player’s timing would have to be a lot more reactive than proactive, and you'd be rewarded for using the ability properly, as opposed to just putting it up because the enemy team “might do something soon". The ability reminds me a lot of Fiora's Riposte, which only lasts 0.75 seconds because there is a reward, if used properly, leading to a more healthy ability. I think if Wind Wall gets the same treatment, it would also become a more healthy ability.

Too much rant, not enough paragraph spacing dood, the point and case is there is really no 'hard way' to balance Yasuo, they need to do the reverse of some of the so called 'shenanigans' of lowering his stats to compensate where what they should be doing is nerfing his mechanics with a tiny stat increase to 'compensate'.

His Windwall is pretty much always going to negate projectiles so making it get its 'full duration' if it blocks an attack is basically just keeping it the same in team fights and lane 'bullying', with it really only affecting chases on him or him chasing others down because people are going to pay attention alot more on his actions while chasing him (and likely failing cause EZ move speed item 3046) or running from him (same situation).

He makes use of an item set that provides crits, attack speed and mobility, pretty much if they wanted to keelhaul him by stats they should of been hitting these values instead such as screwing his EZ power on crits by 'reducing' how much crit chance he gets (maybe +50% instead of +100% so he demands more crit items to hit 100% crit and make him squishier in late game or make him have a 'no crit rate' if he keeps to the current builds), Kill off his scaling bonus in Q with attack speed so he has to choose to either rush Q for the low cooldown or be stuck with the inability to use it to constantly EZ gather CC and tornado stacks because he wanted to rush E first, Same could apply to his E with how much mobility he 'gets' so the E dashes get insanely too fast for his 'jukes' between waves and opponents.

Windwall itself literally uses NOTHING on a scaling so its just like typical 'passive abilities' some champions get to abuse to insane levels, he only needs 1 rank for its full impact, with ranks after that serving little purpose, when really they should just gut the size increase and lower the duration and make it 'scale back up' to its original duration at later levels but also add a few other tweaks (such as the Wall SHOULD appear in front of him, not directly from him) to allow less facerolling with Yasuo on netting EZ all ins as soon as he has his first few attack speed items and is rocking a low Q cooldown thanks to them.

So many very simple ways Yasuo could be fixed, Riot is just scared of not wanting to full tilt on giving him some big nerfs to see how far they need to push him down the flight of stairs to get him just about 'right'. The bans clearly say they need to do drastic changes to figure out the 'sweet spot' that will get him to be like how Zed is currently, not overly strong tier, but not a champion you can easily treat as non-existent trash.
