MMR is Stupid

I almost never play ranked, but since it's long break, I have decided to try and climb the rank ladders. I won 10 games in a row, and got into Silver 1 - Gold 5 series. However due to this winning spree, I ended up with an extremely high mmr and had to play my whole series with players that were plat 5 +. The games were difficult and as a result, I failed my series 2-3.

Because of this MMR SH*T, I cannot get to the rank that I deserve.

LoL, MMR actually ensures you get to the rank you deserve. If your MMR is higher than your current rank you gain more LP per win so climb faster until your rank matches your MMR. If your MMR is lower than your current rank you gain less LP per win and lose more per loss until your MMR matches your rank.

This means over time, your MMR will get to a point where you roughly win as much as you lose and your rank will eventually get to that same point, putting you right where you belong. It's just a matter of matches played.

I think this is how league works, they don't want you to climb to the higher ranks too fast, otherwise it would be too easy.. I know it's frustrating.. Soraka

MMR is stupid, because your mmr is based not on performance but wins and loses, against people. Your rank is determined 80% by other people and 20% you. That's why the system is broken, because you can lose even if you had the best game of your life. Even if your challenger skill level you can have a low mmr, and have very little control over it.
