item 1400 item 3812 item 3142 item 3156 item 3742 item 1001 (boots of your choice) Khazix scales well late game, hitting XP power spikes with 6-11 are very critical, ofc 16 is nice, but 11 is def where he begins to shine.

what do you mean he scales well late game? I just played a Kha'Zix game where I got insanely fed early but was unable to close out the game since Kha has weak tower push. Later on in teamfights, my team just couldn't do anything. I get blown up by coordinated peel from a premade trio every time I try to jump in, but if I try to hold back, my team gets wiped.

It may be because we had no tank, no poke, weak disengage AND multiple low win rate champs on my team, but if I was on any other jungler and THAT fed, I would've just blown up an enemy carry or already ended the game.

Yeah, thats why i personally perfer Rengar. I'm not saying Kha'Zix is perfect in every situation, but he definitely can be a threat late game. You can adjust your build a little too, item 3053 isn't terrible if ur getting blown up. But yeah.. He's got pretty solid ganks early as he's a good skirmisher at lvl 6, then he falls flat until he gets his 11 for 2nd evolution. Play around with some builds, you can also get shit like black cleaver and build slightly more tanky if you don't foresee 1shotting someone.

hmm, taking Sterak's means that you are giving up Maw. Seems to me like a hard thing to do since Maw is just so strong on him.

I did get a black cleaver, with my final build being item 3074item 3142 item 1400 item 3047 item 3071 item 3155 , and still getting CC'ed and blown up in fights.

Yeah i also admit to not being super experienced on Kha'Zix anymore. I think item 3812 has been found to be a core item on him as he likes every stat. I think since you are in plat you have a pretty good understanding of the game and can just learn the champ with experience.. I'd just keep playing him and things will start to click for you.

His damage is still relevant late game. But he is an assassin, yes...

clear the little jungle guys early so you can isolate the big guys and clear faster

Playing Kha'Zix well really comes down to two things: Items and evolution path. Your first evolution should usually be claws in about 90% of games, but if you find yourself against a team with a lot of mobility, escapes, or hard engage, evolving wings first may be your best option. At level 11 you should evolve claws or wings, whichever you didn't evolve first. Third evolution point is really a toss up, evolving ult is useful if you're still looking for picks, evolving spikes is better if you're team fighting or skirmishing more. As for builds, Rengo pretty much said the most optimal build on him. However, don't be afraid to build a little bit tanky on Kha. Replacing one of your damage items with a black cleaver or a sterak's gage can help you survive longer in fights and you'll still be able to melt squishes. Death's dance is a must though.

I disagree; The most important things are play style-how does the player operate in the jungle what are their tendencies- and what they look to do in the game. I especially disagree death's dance must nonsense.

Lets not bait people into thinking they must have an item done by blank time or in any game. Red Rengo Did list a fairly decent build... But a problem that many players face is they cannot evolve with the game they are playing. And giving the guy one option is being apart of the problem dude.

The first thing a jungler should have is a plan. These plans are very diverse and can change in seconds based on the game and the player's response to it. Realize that starting in one area is not a requirement it might be better to start elsewhere. For example; I like starting red! Why? Because my plan is to duel, deny, and gank. So I will start at red(smite it... return health) and invade... if I catch you I will more than likely kill you. Then I am taking whatever else is left. and proceeding to the nearest lane. You can watch other junglers, pros, and so forth and find a plan or make one. I like watching NB3... However it doesn't mean I blindly follow his builds and pathing etc. Sometimes laners need to just know you are there... other times you can make them feel like they are the only one on your mind or that you are there for them when they need you the most.

Lets start with jungling items: I think the most effective and efficient is item 1408 however item 1400 is still a good choice. I just think that the slow is rather redundant considering the passive on Khazix slows but to each their own.

Boots: item 3158 item 3009 I think the cdr boots are more effective... but you can always do swiftness or item 3117

Starting the evolution of the game. The item the normally is starting to be built after you jungle item and boots typical show which way the game is going... whether you are lagging behind or really far ahead. However these are the six items normally starting that curve:

item 3134 item 3133 item 3044 item 3077 item 3052 item 3155

A build like Red Rengo listed is great at times however its not a must build this at all times or anything like that.

item 3134 >>>>item 3142 item 3147 item 3156 item 3133 >>>>item 3071 item 3812 item 3142 item 3508 item 3044 >>>>item 3071 item 3078 item 3077 >>>>item 3074 item 3748 item 3052 >>>>item 3053 item 3748 item 3022 item 3155 >>>>item 3156

These are going to bed the most common items seen besides frozen mallet and essence reaver. Other item builds include; item 1408 item 3147 item 3078 item 3053 item 3158 item 3033 item 1408 item 3748 item 3053 item 3071 item 3158 item 3742 item 1408 item 3156 item 3074 item 3812 item 3158 item 3102

Etc.. etc... Find the one that fits your style and evolve with the game....

Have a great time consuming the world man! [slayer-jinx-catface]

He was asking for build advice, not playstyle advice. I agree with everything you've said about forming a plan and adapting, etc, but that is more of a topic for someone asking for general advice in the jungle. I think most people understand that you can't just build the same thing every game, but what OP was asking for was a basic build for him, not jungle strategies and thought process.

He is learning Kha'kix... I included everything I could for him regardless of whether you might have thought it was needed or not. Its up to him what to take away from that. Your disagreement is noted but altogether irrelevant and pointless.

invading at level 6 is VERY effective and try to gank when the wave is thinning
