Twisted Fate Q

Twisted Fate's Q feels a bit off. The hit box seems smaller than what the toolbox would show. I would throw it down the middle of a minion line and it wouldnt hit all the caster minions when they are standing side by side (like how they would during the lane phase). around 75% of the time it wouldn't hit everything if i just aim for the middle. and then there are times when it does hit everything. Then when attacking champions, there are times when it goes through the enemy champ but doesn't do any dmg which kinda screwed me over in a couple of my games during team fights. Anyone else who has played TF and has experienced this?
