THE NEW MALZAHAR

I understand that champions are geared towards higher level play when they are balanced, but it seems clear to me that this particular champion is overwhelming in versatility and power while retaining an incredibly low difficulty to play. In fact the difficulty is so incredibly low that computer coding can actually win a fight for you. Pop on a dot put down a voidling and walk away.... Now how exactly does an individual play around this particular feature? You cannot outrun these small devilish creatures, and they multiply at an incredible rate. Its highly unlikely that you can kill Malzahar before his little beast kill you since lane minions can also do damage and Malzahar has other skills and auto attacks at his disposal as well.

It is one thing to be defeated in style by opponents making strategic plays or utilizing mechanics on a high level (these games can still be enjoyable). it is another thing entirely to be slaughtered by little creatures that are completely** void** of player input whatsoever. Creatures that defeat re-positioning and defeat a well timed retreat because unless you're Quinn ulting with homegaurd you cannot outrun them if Malzahar's DOT is on you.

I believe that League of Legends should be true to its strategy based gaming, and not introduce non-mechanics that do battle entirely for you.

It is now my firm opinion that unless something is done, all of us draft users shall only have a choice of two bans from here on out, because Malzahar will have to be the third one every time.

Rather than run from the Voidlings, try to kill them before they multiply, a lot of people seem to ignore them entirely, which allows them to multiply until they're a proper swarm at which point Malzahar is at his peak strength. It has a very long cooldown relative to his other abilities, and makes up almost 60% of his damage - whenever I play Malzahar I almost grit my teeth whenever my pets die prematurely.

While it's true that Malzahar isn't a mechanically difficult champion to play, he is actually less faceroll now than he used to be due to lower base damage all around. I often find myself microing Malefic Visions in lane to produce favorable results, while also utilizing Call of the Void to refresh the dot.
